You should not have to write down the resources you've used in the abstract, but of course you'll write them down in the final paper. Or are you simply handing in the abstract before the paper? In that case, you might as well put them down as it most likely won't hurt you.

I have to hand in the abstract before the paper. Its not really even for any marks I was just curious.

Could anyone post the link to the suicide gif where a guy jumps off a ledge and it looks like spoilertags? Thanks!

Friends listed in my contacts for my Live email account say they've been getting unwanted emails sent to them from me. Whats the best way to remove whatever is causing this issue?
Change your password, it's likely just a bot using your account for advertising.

Does anyone know of software that can take two images and interpolate them both into a new image? Sort of like a morph effect. Something that could be used, for example, to take a 12 FPS .gif and make it into a 24 FPS .gif by doubling the amount of frames.

Something that can simulate this perhaps?

I'm planning on moving out of the dorms my freshman year and into apartments. When is the best time to start looking, best time to sign a lease, etc? I don't know anything about this shit.

If it helps, I'm @ UC Berkeley.

I imagine the quality depends what you try to do it with. Regarding software, do you know of anything specific?
it will also depend a lot on the source material. ie you can get good results for a flying ball, but some dancing scene will look like garbled nonsense

you should look into tools like Avisynth and google for Framerate conversion - especially with motion estimation.

it's probably not even remotely worth the effort, especially if you want to do it for lulz gifs or something along those lines

I'm trying to find the Onion article satirizing new technology, especially how fans of a product suddenly consider it obsolete and useless compared to the new product, and how they want to impress others by owning the new technology.

I can't remember if it was specifically about an Apple product, but I can't find it at all. Can someone help?

I need a link to the Nike Commercial from a few years back.

The story of the commercial was: Home team was leading and heading to their hoop. Out of the shadows comes someone from the opposing team and the ball is stolen. As this new owner of the basketball runs down the court the home team breaks down. The cheerleaders cry, kids fall to their knees, etc. They lose.

Thanks for the help, but it's not that one.

I found it a few minutes ago: New Device Desirable, Old Device Undesirable.

Has some pretty great quotes. ""Not only will I be able to perform tasks faster than before, but my new device will also inform those around me that I am a successful individual who is up on the latest trends...its attractiveness and considerable value are, by extension, my attractiveness and considerable value." Describes Apple fans to a T.

There is one specifically about Apple products as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9BnLbv6QYcA

Hey I'm at Berkeley as well. Usually people sign their leases in the Summer, so try to find something early around April or May. Basically whenever school ends. Start looking early, but usually the lease is signed in Summer so you can actually have the place before someone else takes it, even if that means you won't be living there for a month or two.

This was my experience too. Most places will make you sign a one-year lease anyway, so you'll end up with a few extra months whatever you do.

One thing I've never been able to figure out:

When you are spooning someone (preferably a girl...) and you're the "big spoon", where are you really supposed to put your arm that's closest to the bed?

I've managed to find three options, but none of them are really that great:
1. You put it under the girl's back/head. Not really comfortable in the long run for either of you, and definitely not for the whole night.
2. You put it under yourself. Not comfortable at all.
3. You put it between you and the girl. Somewhat comfortable, but then you lose the point of spooning, i.e. being really close to each other.

gifs are serious business man.

Cheers for the help anyway, I'll look into them if only out of curiosity, might get lucky.

When I was studying graphics design, there was this douche in my class that would steal and plagiarize everything. He almost got excluded from the school because of that. Anyway, he launched his brand of t-shirt (60€ a piece :lolsmiley)

Those are the designs he made,

I can't recognize any of this, but I could bet 100 bucks that there is at least one design stolen in those three.

Help me out, Gaf.

So you want us to detective to get this guy's business shut down? Do you have a grudge against him or something?

you are a resentful little herb

Wow no I'm not going to "shut down his business" or anything, what the hell.
Some friends and myself are wondering if he is doing things properly, or if he is still cheating even with his own business, money involved.

And I guess I could be resentful, he saw once a project I made, and the day after he copied everything of it (except the colours) went to the teacher and pretended it was his work. The guy is crazy. And this isn't even the story that almost made him excluded from the school.

That middle symbol is the valknut symbol with some drips added to it. It's probably public domain (or whatever you want to call it), so I don't know if he's technically plagiarizing anything (at least with that symbol).

Shows lack of creativity, though.

So I've been a victim of card fraud. £192.50 was spent on "MICROSOFT *XBOX"

I have insurance against this, so have my money back. This question is just out of interest, really.

There were numerous transactions of £42.50, £14.99 and £19.99. Would these be MS point cards to be sold later on? is £42.50 a Gold subscription?

Also, before these transactions, £42.50 was CREDITED to my account from Microsoft. Would there be any reason this would occur without phoning and asking for a refund?

Thanks a lot. I'm sure there is something behind the skull too.

And why is the drip at an angle?

I have to proof read a newsletter for my bigger brother and since English isn't my mother tongue I figured I could ask here. Is this following sentence correct / would you say it.

"Serious forms of quality music from forward-thinking electronic/experimental"...(insert a few genres here... "are to be featured."

Quick help would be appreciated.

EDIT: Basically I don't know if you can say "are to be featured".

I'm looking for a video of an American truck driver driving a rickety old van on a mountain road in India and everyone is cutting around blind and getting into near miss collisions. I think it was probably a clip from a documentary or reality show. He's commenting throughout about how crazy everyone driving is. I remember it being at least a few minutes long. Think it was posted in a thread here last year some time. Tried googling, but there are a lot of crazy Indian driving videos. Thanks!

What's the best way to clean egg off a bowl? I love scrambled eggs but I usually can't be bothered to make them because I always have to chisel the egg off the dishes afterwards.

Use a glass bowl next time. To clean it, pour sulfuric acid in there. Easy!

Don't do that

Yes, because it relates back to subject/verb agreement with "Several forms," as in "several forms are to be featured," not "forms is to be featured"

The bowl you're eating it out of or the pan you cooked it in? If it's the bowl, just wash it right after you are done and it should come off easily. If you leave it in the sink all day without soaking it, it'll harden up, but if you soak it in soapy water it should be easy to clean the next day.

If you're talking about the pan, it's much easier to use nonstick. For stainless steel it just takes practice getting the heat and time right. Don't go too hot. Low medium on my stove works well, but ymmv.

I bought a 10' USB cable on Monoprice for my printer and today I was reading the manual and it states "use USB 6ft or under". Whats the reason for that and is it a big deal? The cable should arrive tomorrow or Friday.

Also, at what size hdmi cable does pq begin to suffer? I got a 10' one as well to replace my current one (hooked up to ps3). Thanks!

I always rinse it once I pour the egg wherever. I do this with everything actually and it works everytime.
