No, more like she´s nearly 16, I´m 25. But as long as it´s legal, that´s not the problem imo. I was rather talking about the "waiting for someone to become legal". Which I find potentially creepier.

So she's 15yo? Dude, don't be one of those guys.

This may sting a bit, but...

1. Everybody who sees you together will judge you.
2. She's just getting use to high school and you graduated years ago. That's weird on a developmental and intellectual level. It insults your IQ and your social skills.
3. It suggests you have trouble getting girls your own age, which makes you look like a loser.

Unless you found the one exception to all young girls, she's probably a ditsy idiot that just likes the attention you give her.
You may even get to fuck her, but that's only because she's a horny teenager. Unless you take her virginity, chances are you won't mean anything in the long run.
You're looking for a serious relationship at that age, and she's looking for a big dick.

"Same school" was my rule until graduating college. That ensures the most compatibility.

thx for the reply, though it isn´t really about what I meant :P That´s all hypothetical speaking anyway, since I have not made any approaches nor do I think it is all that realistic anyway. Though let me tell you, my social skills are easily as "bad" as hers, if not worse. sadlol.

Well I don't know what's legal there, and forgetting what people will think and the "creepiness", waiting a long time for anyone whom you haven't yet approached, unless we're just talking about a month... isn't worth it and it's strange no matter your age. And if she's nearly 16, you're ten years her senior. That's a big difference at your age and especially hers. There will be a big gap in maturity and intellect, and what you want to do with your lives.

Does anyone think it's odd to go to the movies alone?
A lot of people do. If I'm home, I suppose I feel the same way, but sometimes I need to just pass the time somewhere.

Is this considered a paisley pattern? If not, then what?
The blue part is not very defined so I'm not sure that I would call that a paisley, but maybe. The part that is definitely a paisley is the brown design in the lower left, which I guess is the back of the garment? I can't really see what it is. Paisley has distinct droplet-like designs. This is a pretty good array from Wikipedia: http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fichier:Paisley.JPG

Is there any websites that I can upload gif files that over 2mbs. imgur is not cutting it. Thank You!
I use https://uloadr.com/

I think they have a size limit of about 8MB.

Different types of meat can be grown in labs, but as yet it remains relatively unappetizing. Let's say it's the future and engineers have found ways to make the meat indistinguishable from that of a freshly slaughtered animal. Let us also say that human muscle tissue can be grown in a lab in much the same way. Would it technically be cannibalism for that meat to be consumed by humans?

Is there a utility that can easily search through a ton of MP3s and list those that lack ID3V2 tags, whether or not they have other tags? Or better yet, for those files that lack ID3V2 tags, copy the ID3V1 tags in, IFF those exist.

No. But I'm willing to go on record that people wouldn't do it anyway. ;)

No, of course not. Wikipedia's definition of cannibalism:

Cannibalism (from Caníbales, the Spanish name for the Carib people,[1] a West Indies tribe formerly well known for their practice of cannibalism[2]) is the act or practice of humans eating the flesh of other human beings.

...which obviously wouldn't be the case here. The flesh would just be identical to that of a human being, it wouldn't actually be from one.

What would be the best way to go about turning a looooooong (several hour) video into 15 minute chunks?
If it's an AVI with compatible codecs, then virtualdub.
Walkthrough:
- If your video isn't compressed properly already, then compress the complete source video to a proper quality / size tradeoff. Both audio and video. Full processing mode. Something like XVID MPEG 4 for video, MP3 for audio. Takes like an hour or so.
- Successively for each part:
— Load the now compressed source video.
— Navigate to the part's first frame (arrows or pgup / pgdown iirc). Press HOME.
— Navigate to the part's last frame. Press END.
— Click Edit › Crop to selection.
— Set "Direct Stream Copy" for audio and video (you don't want to recompress, you did that already). The export to AVI should take like 12 secs.
— Export, Upload.

Or look at Handbrake, maybe it does something like that as well. It's better overall. Compression options are much nicer. But I never tried something like this with it.

What happened to the black boy bands that dominated the 90s? Well, not the boy bands themselves but the idea of black boy bands. B2K was the last one I remember and they actually came out in the early 2000s.

Not sure. I think these days people are mainly interested in either bands that play their own instruments like Jonas Brothers or solo artists like Katy Perry.

Comic book people please enlighten me. What are the possible enemies the Avengers are gonna fight in the movie? All of the superheroes on their own fight their respective high-level bad guys in their respective films, what kind of ultimate megavillains exist in the comic book world that would justify the need for them to team up?

Loki, Dr. Doom, the Masters of Evil, Ultron, the Red Skull ...

Is there any way to hide the bulge that appears on my crotch whenever I wear pants? This isn't me bragging or anything but no matter what I wear it always seems to show. It even shows to the extent that you can tell where it is and what direction it's pointing in. I wear briefs but that doesn't help and boxers make the situation worse. Also I don't even get an erection when I'm wearing pants or jeans but there's still a bulge. What do I do?

Embrace the bulge.

Get jeans that fit.

My jeans do fit and besides the point it's very difficult to find jeans now that don't have a short distance from the wasteline to the bottom of the crotch. It's like they want your junk to uncomfortably sit on the bottom of the seam before it turns into the two legs part.

I saw a link to something that would tell you which programs/folders/files were taking up the most space on your hard drive, but I forgot what it was called and what thread I saw it in. Anyone know what it is?

I have a photoshop question, I have an image, I like it when in 'North America General Purpose 2' color settings, but hate it in the monitor settings. Is it possible to 'convert' the file so it will display the same on my monitor?

EDIT: I'm so close, I can use print screen when in photoshop in full screen, but it's not perfectly full screen, it's missing a single verticle row of pixels, shit.

on car wheels is there a benefit to having more lugs (4, 5 or 6) or is it just for cosmetic/security reasons?

Design choice. As long as combined each tread and screw can withstand the force required, you're good to go. Fewer probably means more durable screws.

F1 cars have one. A huge one.

So you have a printed image that looks different to your screen image (obviously due to RGB>CMYK printing conversions), but what you want to do is make the screen image look like the printed one, or...?

Sorry, that post wasn't very clear.

In Photoshop, I was messing with the color profiles, and I liked the visual change it made to the image. However because the color profile is inherent in the image file, if I try to use that file as a wallpaper, I don't get it with the color profile changes I want.

Both images are on my monitor, one is in photoshop, one is the background, or paint etc.

EDIT: Sorted it, kind of, just used 'variations' and the contrast menus to slowly get close enough.

Ah okay, well there is a way to mimic the display int he colour profiles menu, but it's a little complex and isn't eve very accurate, so if you're happy with your result than that's okay.

Um, this sounds stupid, but is anyone willing to make a thread of this for me?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00gAbgBu8R4&feature=player_embedded

It's an update on cloud point modelling, and something which I think is very important in terms of assessing the progress and scale of the games industry today. It shows what kind of technology is available, and really puts the whole "Pixar graphics" thing on the shelf. I'm a junior, obviously, so I was wondering if anyone could make a post in the gaming forum for me? Or just in general?

There already are a couple of threads about that in the gaming side. Search "unlimited detail" and "100,000 times better" (or something along those lines).

Are TV shows purchased on iTunes still DRM'ed? If so, can you play those shows in XBMC if XBMC is running on the same Mac where you purchased the shows?

Yeah, but there doesn't seem to be one relating to their recent demo... hmmm.

Game dev gaffers,

I'm headed to Argentina for a year in about two weeks, and it just occurred to me that I'll need some way to charge my razor when I'm down there. The razor and it's charger are american, what do I need to buy to be able to charge it in Argentina.

In Japan. recently, discussion came up on revising the law to make personal possession of child pornography illegal. The bill was argued against(and eventually changed to be "the purchase of/ instead of possession") because of the possibility of someone else sending you the pictures(aka you not even being aware of possession of them)

My question is this: In American law, what is there to prevent this? Does the law take into effect the intent of possessing? Is it literally possible to be arrested for having being sent spam in your mailbox you didn't even notice?

Trying to inset some text into a box in 3ds Max. The geometry of the text is fairly complex and boolean is not taking to it well, what's a better way of going about it?

I think there is a "should have been aware" or "could reasonably be expected to be aware" element of discretion. Whereby I expect someone would ordinarily not be in trouble for unsolicited mail. Especially if you hadn't opened it. If you opened something and did nothing about it or told nobody, you'd be in a bit of trouble irrespective of its being unsolicited.

If it's a still render, Photoshop it in.

If not, create a UV map on the surface of said text, with an opacity map obviously to hide the background.

No, it's part of an animation and needs to be actually inset.
