Yesterday I bought some art supplies and wanted to pay off the balance today but the current balance is about $70 more than what I had paid for my supplies. The payoff balance is the same as my supply cost. I had paid off all my bills a week earlier so current pay due, past due amount, total minimum due, and balance from my last statement were and still are at $0.

Not really sure what's going on since this has never happened before but wondering if it might have something to do with me raising my credit limit two weeks earlier. Also this a BoA card...not sure it that makes a difference.

I just paid off the current balance and hoping that'll do it (it's not accrued interest on old bills--I'm very OCD about paying my bills weeks before the due date).

how does i post it on their wall

If you are friends with person in question you should be able to go their page and "Write Post" without any hassle. Right in the middle of the page.

Other people can still see it in their news feed, however. If you really only want one person to see it send it to them via private message.

High Metabolism, need to gain weight. Even when my stomach says I'm "hungry" I don't eat as much as I "should". And about halfway (sometimes I eat all, but this does happen) through the meal I get a feeling in my stomach and throat that basically says "Eat anymore and all of this is coming up in vomit." So I stop. Any idea what's wrong? Any meds I can take?

Does the feeling persist after you stop eating, could you eat another half meal an hour later in theory? I'm asking, not saying this is what you should do. There's a certain degree of getting used to eating more than you're used to.

dude Orellio told you what to do. if you want an alternate way then go to the youtube video and click the facebook icon near the video description and then you can choose where to post it, either on your wall or a friends wall.

I think the problem is that he had only wanted to send it to one, specific person, and not have the video posted on their wall for all to see.

In that case, you should have messaged them on Facebook.

Hey could anyone help me out? Is there someone or someway to get this vid and turn it into a mp3? I love the instrumental and my 2 year old son loves the commerical. But I just want to be able to listen to the song whenever I want. Is this possible? Does anyone have the means to be able to do this?

A browser extension? Firefox has these for downloading Youtube videos or for downloading just the audio from Youtube videos, for example.

Why would they be? Those aren't online games, they're actual real-world sports.

Pony thread went in there. Plus all OT's are supposed to end up in there regardless of online content.

The perfect thread for my question:

In Windows 7, is there a way to listen to podcasts / music without iTunes running?

I have iTunes of course as I have an iPhone, but not only does it run like a slug and refuse to skin to look native at all (I use a skin from deviant art and iTunes is the one window I can't bring in line) but also, since Wi-Fi sync came in it also hangs a lot when it's trying to find my phone every 10 minutes.

I listen to podcasts while I work, they are stored on my HDD and I want to have them on while running a player that does not suck balls. I tried Songbird and Foobar and neither seemed to play well with podcasts at all, only importing half the files at times or not at all others.

Thoughts?

I need some help with Word 07 if anyone can help.

Is there anyway I can add cumulative word count to a piece of work. eg, page 1 has 500 words put that in the footer, page 2 has 400 words and so the footer of page 2 would have 900?

Medical term for seeing things not really there?

I think it started with an h (but not hallucination).

Basically, you're trying to make out images in your mind from some jumbled up visuals, like the dog on a duck's beak.

I read it SOMEWHERE here in GAF OT, but I don't remember which topic it is and I'm not subscribed to it.

I struggled a lot with podcast management for a while too. gPodder is a really barebones downloader for podcasts and I was using it for a while, but it wasnt that good with tagging the podcasts. Since then, i've been using the zune player, and it has been pretty much great.

Does gPodder have playback capability? I can use iTunes to download them, I just want a player for them that doesn't involve that resource hog running all day.

Is there a reason Soild H2O is less dense than Liquid H2O? I've read it's the only non-metallic liquid that behaves in that manner. I'd like to know why.

It has a bit of a fancy spelling, like "aei" or "ae". :S
OK, I think it might be 'Pareidolia'? I have a vague memory of it being mentioned on a recent episode of Fringe.. or not recent, not sure.

gPodder just downloads the podcasts, but you can assign an external player to play the podcasts. To be honest though, I never really tried that feature, so ymmv.

The molecules are further apart in its crystalline structure. Less molecules in the same volume means a lower density.

Question about GoodReads.com

Is there any easy way to link to your account without a long url, or an easy way to search for an account? I created a wishlist (it's for a secret santa thing at work) but I can't figure out a way to link to it easily or make it easy to find it. I would try to link to my amazon wishlist but that gives access to my Amazon profile (reviews etc) and fuck that.

So I recently moved and I'm currently using my laptop as my computer. I got internet set up this morning and went out and bought a wireless router. To install the software that comes with it (which is required) you need the latest version of your OS. Mine is Vista. Windows Updater keeps failing to apply the update and I tried downloading SP1 manually, but that also will not install. Could really use some help here. Thanks in advance!

I remember having a similar issue with getting SP1 to install. Bust out your windows CD and try to repair the installation. IIRC in my case there was something wrong with the master boot record (MBR). Hope that helps.

How exactly do I do that? I've got part way through and it looks to me like its going to install the whole OS. I don't see a repair option anyway.

Writer folk - Question.

In spite.
Despite.

According to my dictionary, they mean the exact same thing. However, I have this inexplicable feeling that one is more appropriate than others in certain situations, but I can't piece together why or when that may be the case. Could I get some comfort here. Does it ever matter which one I use?

"Despite" is one word; "in spite of" is three words. "Despite" wins for efficiency.

"In spite" is way more negative IMO. Think of this example:

"Despite all their efforts, the patient could not be saved."
"In spite of all their efforts, the patient could not be saved."

Hey, fellas. I'm looking for an image.

It's a comic, three panels, vertically oriented. It features a stick figure. In the first panel, he raises his finger as if he were about to comment. In the second panel he looks concerned, and lowers his finger. In the third panel, he just walks away.

Tried Google Images, and I have no clue what keywords to put in to make it appear.

http://www.lancelhoff.com/how-to-fix-vista-mbr-repair-broken-vista/
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/repair-windows-with-windows-startup-repair/

Both of those links basically describe the same procedure and should get you through it without too much trouble.

I had forgotten fixing the MBR requires using the command prompt as detailed in the first link. In case that isn't exactly what is wrong, go through the automated startup repair in the 2nd link just to be safe. It can't hurt anything (as long as you don't accidentally restore from a backup or something) so don't worry about messing anything up.

Like archnemesis said, it forms a crystal structure when it freezes. The reason for that is water is capable of forming relatively strong hydrogen bonds with itself. These bonds are not as strong as a covalent bond but the cumulative effect of them does cause the water molecules in solution orient themselves in a way that allows them to maximize their h-bonds.

This is a picture from wiki that illustrates what's going on:

705px-Hex_ice.GIF

red balls=oxygen
white balls=hydrogen
white lines=covalent bond
dashed gray lines=hydrogen bond

The combination of covalent and hydrogen bonds causes the frozen water to want to be in a rigid, crystal structure.

The cumulative effect of a H20's h-bonds is also very important in nature. It gives stability to the three dimensional structure of DNA's, RNA's, and proteins.

I use Sony's Media Go to buy and download stuff for my PSP. I haven't really played my PSP in a while, but since we had that free $5.99 offer recently, I figured I might as well get me a PSone game for it.

I buy a game, download it through Media Go, and surprise! PSP update available. It won't let me put the game on my PSP I just bought and downloaded unless I update the firmware. I don't want to update my firmware, gotdamnit.

So! I was wondering, is there a specific place on the computer where Media Go downloads stuff to? If I can I'd like to just copy and paste it over.

EDIT: I found where it keeps them, but I guess they're encrypted. Siiiiiigh. Guess I have to update.

How did we decide that the orientation of the earth is what it is today? What I mean is, how did we decide that the Earth is "upright" with the north pole on "top" and south pole on the "bottom"

If during the last 2 or 3 millennia and today the polarity of the Earth's pole were opposite, would we be seeing a depiction of the Earth where everything was flipped upside down? i.e. Australia is "upright" and North America is "upside down"? Also, who decided that the direction of the compass would mean North? Seems pretty arbitrary to me. 50/50 chance. It seems to me that if somehow the convention was reversed (North and South pole magnetic convention), then the world would be drawn upside down

So what is so good about the Mona Lisa? Why is it so popular?
It's a nicely painted portrait by one of the most cryptic guys ever, and it's really old. No reason to make a religion out of it really, but I don't think anyone is. Everyone just knows the painting.

This is cool. I wanna get one of these maps: http://flourish.org/upsidedownmap/

Top seems more important, so the people who made globes/world maps put their countries on the top. Then it became the norm.

Nope. Direction of magnetic field has nothing to do with it.
