My favorite arcade memories come from this series. And my avatar. Would love to see Capcom do something, but I don't think I want a game with the SFIV artstyle.

One of...or maybe possibly it is, my favorite fighting game series ever. My favorite release of it is the Chaos Tower on PSP because I could play it anywhere, and now I have it on my Vita as well. So much fun, and Felicia is my best character. Also have a thing for using Morrigan. The rest I've dabbled with here and there, but I'm the type that finds my good characters I can work with and I stick to them.

Sucks that this is likely a dead series.

Technically, it's been 'dead' for more than 10 years.
The last game(s) was released in the late 90s, and since then its been compilation release after another.

Darkstalkers on that hideous Street Fighter 4 engine would be worse then the series being dead, so lets just forget about them bringing it back and remember the good times.

I don't think a game's graphics engine dictates the artstyle.

This is without a doubt my favorite Capcom fighting series. Combat was really fun and intense and the characters had a lot of life put into them. As for my favorite character it's tied between B.B. Hood and Jedah.

A really intense character to play as who worked best up close. Making the most of her dash jabs and basket was a must.

This was a really difficult to play character where you really had to space yourself well and know when to throw your projectiles. Still, loved playing him so much.

Yeah. GG Xrd, the game everyone is gushing about, is on unreal engine 3 after all. Still, if they ever decide to make a new darkstalkers I hope they use MT Framework.

Any hope for a new Darkstalkers died when Resurrection didn't sell to Capcom's expectations. ;_;

My favorite character was always Morrigan strangely enough. I guess that's the boring answer. I always loved how flamboyant she was and how she always seemed to exude confidence with her in-game quips (even though I never actually understood anything she was saying other than "shadowblade"). Besides, I liked how easy she was to pick up and play coming from Street Fighter! I always liked Darkness Illusion too.

After her, it's definitely Q-Bee. There's so much about her that is pretty creepy and yet she's also sort of cartoonish at the same time.

Bulleta is a hilarious character design.

Revenger's Roost is also one of the best bits of music to ever come from a fighting game and it wasn't even a part of the original releases.

I seriously love her self recorded jingle ending. :lol

Hell her voicework in general was incredible. That change from happy go lucky to "get fucked nigga" when she grabbed you and slit your throat? That little voice clip was just laced with malice and intent and it just worked.

You know, it was pretty funny that arguably the strongest character in the game was a giant friendly fuzzball.

He just wants to chillax and munch down bananas with his homies =/
...but nope Pyron and Jedah gotta fuck shit up.
I like how his normal and walking stance has him look 'menacing' but his other animations are cartoony.

Hurhurhur, I keep getting older and Felicia always stays the same. (OK, but seriously, Darkstalkers 3 was my first PlayStation game and it has left an incredibly huge mark on my aesthetic sensibility and my love of fighting games)

This series has great characters, minus 1 or 2. I think Capcom hasn't forgot about the series and will make another game soon...........for mobile phones. And you will have to pay for each character. And they will see nothing wrong with it.
