Three in March - Backlog Pillars of Eternity

  • Tomb Raider Definitive Edition (PS4)
  • The Last of Us: Left Behind (PS3)
  • ???

Don't see myself beating Bloodborne within March, but who knows.

Might beat Dark Souls (PS3) if I revisit it. Should at least try to since Nito is supposedly easy and that's where I'm at. ToTG is a terrible area though. Scratch that. In Lost Izalith now, but going to tackle the DLC content and finish some odds and ends with stats and weapons before proceeding. Probably an April completion depending how much time I spend with Bloodborne.

Just finished The Last of Us: Left Behind. Incredible. Missed the water gun trophy, but I'll revisit it some other time.

Final game will likely be a PS+ title. Counterspy or inFamous First Light being the chief choices.

Might also try renting The Walking Dead Season 2 since I have a free game rental for a day that expires today. It's the only thing worth playing that's available since my area doesn't have current gen titles.

I figured it was best for me to make a new post instead of updating my first post with my progression. I ended up completing four games so far.

- Asura's Wrath
- Vanquish
- The Talos Principle
- Hotline Miami
- Hotline Miami 2

I just started Hotline Miami 2 yesterday, and so far its been good. I should be able to finish it tonight, and start up another game.

I finished up Hotline Miami 2, and finished Final Fantasy XV. Going to finish more games. I don't know if I should keep updating this since I have played far more than three games this month. Anyways, the games finished so far are these:

- Asura's Wrath
- Vanquish
- The Talos Principle
- Hotline Miami
- Hotline Miami 2
- Final Fantasy XV

Time to tick another game of my backlog list. Started Papo & Yo yesterday evening and just finished it. Absolutely lovely game. Which makes 5 games beaten for this month.

1. Mind: Path to Thalamus
2. Super Mario 3D World
3. Hotline Miami 2
4. Far Cry 3
5. Papo & Yo
6. Lone Survivor: The Director's Cut
7. Pushmo/Pullblox[/QUOTE]

I keep postponing my Lone Survivor en Pushmo play. Maybe I'll finish those up before Bloodborne, or maybe I'll start another short indie title.

Hyrule Warriors (Wii U)
Okami HD (PS3)
Metal Gear Solid 3 HD (PS3)
Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker HD (PS3)
Shin Megami Tensei IV (3DS)
Gunman Clive (3DS)
Gunman Clive 2 (3DS)

Bonus:
Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition (PS4)
Mighty Switch Force (3DS)
3D Shinobi III (3DS)

Beat Shinobi III yesterday. Awesome classic. Shamelessly used save states but if I had played it as a kid it would probably be in my personal Top Eleven.

Dead Rising 3 (Xbox One)
LittleBigPlanet 3 (PS4)
Far Cry 4 (PS4)
(And I got the platinum!)

Given the size of those games, this has been a pretty successful month. I'm going to close it out with:

The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season (PS4)
The Walking Dead: Season Two (PS4)
Tales From the Borderlands: Episode Two (PS4)
Life Is Strange: Episode Two (PC)

I'm going to be very sick of Telltale games by the end of the month...which is looking like when the new Game of Thrones episode hits.

I been on a rip this month finishing up old games
Child of light finally beat the last boss
Far cry 4 - got the "bad ending" still finishing out some outpost though
The order- rented it and beat it in under 24hrs good game but had some gripes with it.
Going to try to finish dying light think I'm about 60% through main story line.
Uncharted golden abyss- about half way through enjoying it
Havent been able to play much games because of freaking work but now I'm doing "research so I got more time"

Done 2 got one left though type-0 might take my time instead:
Saints Row: The Third (PS3) (plat)
Final Fantasy: XV Episode Duscae (PS4)
Grow Home (PC)

10 days to finish 2 games. This should be doable but it feels impossible with my school workload ;(

Update time:

Hexcells Infinite: Haven't touched
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Still only playing a level on occasion, so actually making the game last quite a long time. Just did All Ghillied Up, and get what all the fuss is about for that one.
Picross E5: Still plugging away on occasion!
Watching all the Pirates of the Carribean films: Okay, not really a gaming thing, but still: Done! Coast's clear for lego games now until I get to Jurassic Park.
Lego Pirates of the Carribean: And that's *why* the previous thing was there; played through it all, now. Done.
The Denpa Men: Well, this is a bit odd. Hit a clear climax point... and the game's just kept going. Not sure if I'm in postgame content now, or if this is still regarded as part of the main game! As a whole, it's okay, but I'm feeling the drain when I don't have certain key immunities and abilities covered - which feels like it has to be compensated for by a grind.
Infinifactory: Yep, this is back in now it's had its first major update. Like the new features, and have played through all the tutorials for the new minicampaign. Haven't yet delved into the 'real levels'
Streetpass Mansion: This one rather snuck up on me. There's a clear postgame on the way, and I'll keep plugging away, but the credits have rolled so I'll count this.
Fatal Frame: The intriguing combination of a game I rather enjoyed... and genuine relief that I don't have to play it any more! I'm not really much of a one for horror games. I've played a couple of Resident Evils and that's about it - not really inclined to count the likes of Dead Rising because I never found it all that scary. While it's a genre I tend not to go for, since I know my limits of tolerance, I'm still happy to play the games if they're good enough, and Fatal Frame definitely is.
John's Fire Witch: I've been wanting to get back into playing more IF, since I've spent a long time admiring the genre from a distance without really diving in. So I thought I'd reacquaint myself by playing some of the first titles I played back when I rediscovered the genre for the first time back in the mid-nineties. JFW was one of the first of the new amateur games I completed - either it or Uncle Zebulon's Will actually came first, I forget which - so it was nice to revisit it after twenty years had elapsed. I actually remembered quite a bit, despite that - there was a very memorable puzzle about the Seven Deadly Sins which had stuck in my memory since playing it for the first time.

Xbox One:
LA Cops
Ori and the Blind Forest
Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious
Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition
Life is Strange Episode 1
Game of Thrones Episode 3

PC:
Mad Games Tycoon

Playstation 4:
Infamous Second Son
Killzone Shadow Fall
Counterspy
Dead Nation Apocalypse Edition

Ive started finishing games that weren't on my list which is... not helpful, haha. Increased productivity a bit anyway, 9 days~ left this month, got Watch Dogs, Bloodborne and Saints Row IV coming next week, so I'm stacking myself further, perhaps I will get a few more of these done and I can earn the new ones.

Cut the list down as well, some I just won't finish this month.

What a terrible month :(

My list for the month:

  • Bloodborne
  • Dead or Alive 5: Final Round
  • Demon's Souls (US version)
  • Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut
  • Final Fantasy Type-0 HD
  • Helldivers
  • Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number
  • Life is Strange: Episode 2
  • Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments
  • SteamWorld Dig PS4
  • SteamWorld Dig PSV
  • Stick it to the Man
  • Valiant Hearts: The Great War
  • The Witcher 2

There's still a week left but with Bloodborne coming on Wednesday, Life is Strange: Episode 2 is probably the only other game I'll finish this month.

I started off the month with some long games and then played a lot of shorter ones in the middle. SteamWorld Dig was kind of a weird situation where I started the Vita version expecting it to be cross-save but not only did it not support it, it also installed a second trophy list on my profile. I was just going to wait for the new PS4 firmware to delete it but I was still having fun with the game, so I figured I may as well finish that one too.

So I managed to finish the following so far. I've also started Kingdom Hearts 3DS but I doubt that will get done in the next 7 days.

Infamous First Light
Dawn of Sorrows
Hotline Miami
Grand Theft Auto V

So this month has been pretty slow in terms of actual completion but I've been playing a few games concurrently so I'll hopefully be able to add a few more to the list in the next two weeks. Also picked up Bloodborne today so that won't help. Anyway here is my updated list:

- New Super Luigi U Completed on 4/3/15
- Metroid Prime Completed on 9/3/15
- The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Completed on 25/3/15
- Kid Icarus: Uprising
- Valiant Hearts The Great War
- Ico
- Shadow of the Colossus

The Wind Waker HD wasn't originally in the plan for the month but I felt the need to play it so I started it a couple of weeks ago and finally completed it today.

Hyrule Warriors (Wii U)
Okami HD (PS3)
Metal Gear Solid 3 HD (PS3)
Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker HD (PS3)
Shin Megami Tensei IV (3DS)
Gunman Clive (3DS)
Gunman Clive 2 (3DS)

Bonus:
Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition (PS4)
Mighty Switch Force (3DS)
3D Shinobi III (3DS)
Link's Awakening (3DS)
Metroid Fusion (WiiU)

With Nintendo introducing trading in stars for games I got Link's Awakening and Metroid Fusion.

Finished Link's Awakening this afternoon. Though I don't think it is as good as Minish Cap or A Link between Worlds, it's still a fantastic game. I don't know why I didn't played it as a kid as I probably would have loved it back then. The last two dungeons were not so easy for me. And the frequent item switching got a little bit annoying.

Now playing Okami HD (PS3) and Metroid Fusion (Wii U)

Only a few days left! I'm at:

Dead Rising 3 (Xbox One)
LittleBigPlanet 3 (PS4)
Far Cry 4 (PS4)
(And I got the platinum!)
Tales From The Borderlands: Episode Two (PS4)
Game of Thrones: Episode Three (PS4)
Life Is Strange: Episode Two (PC)
Forza Horizon 2 Presents: Fast and the Furious (Xbox One)

I'm going to keep finishing up The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season (PS4), continue getting my ass handed to me in Bloodborne (PS4), and I enjoyed the Fast and Furious expansion so much I'm replaying it on Xbox 360 for achievements!

I finished up Hotline Miami 2, and finished Final Fantasy XV. Going to finish more games. I don't know if I should keep updating this since I have played far more than three games this month. Anyways, the games finished so far are these:

- Asura's Wrath
- Vanquish
- The Talos Principle
- Hotline Miami
- Hotline Miami 2
- Final Fantasy XV

I think this pretty much sums it up. I started playing Persona 4 Golden, and I have no idea how long it will take for me to beat it.

Update

Assassins creed liberation hd
Tomb raider (the remake)
Skylanders Swap Force
Bioshock infinity - including all the dlc

A very very good month for me. Currently working on the dlc for Kingdoms of Amalur

The Order remains beaten.

I decided to just do the campaign in Far Cry 4 since I was starting to just fall into a routine of clearing out areas systematically for no other reason except I wanted them clear and to never have to go back. It was slowing be down too much.

I beat X-COM which a similar mentality. After the beginning of the game I had made sure that none of my team died. I kept this up until the final assault when it became clear that would require more time than I was willing to put in. I don't know if the ending was rushed or I just timed the upgrades and research right but it sure ramped up quickly.

Suck it, March. Still deciding on what to do for April. Thinking Stick of Truth, AC: Unity, and something else but haven't decided. Maybe The Walking Dead S2.

Completely unexpected I've won on neogaf raffle Soldner-X 2 on PSVita. Yesterday I started it and after... 1h beat. However great shmup game.
Today/tomorrow I should finish AC4 and finally start, once again, Bloodborne.

PS4
The Order: 1886 - 2nd playthrough
Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag

PS Vita
Tearaway
Soldner-X 2: Final Prototype

Already done and done, with extra credit.

Finished Monster Hunter 4 U single player on March 1st. 180 hours sunk in.

Finished Criminal Girls Invite Only, on March 13th. 33 hours. Was ok.

Finished Atelier Shallie, on March 21. 38 hours. Fantastic, love gust games.

Finished Final Fantasy Type 0 HD, on March 23. 21 hours. motion blur is awful.

Working on Bloodborne since it came out.

Like I said, yesterday. AC4 is done. Great game, however very long and very "Ubi". My second favourite AC all of time, behind 2nd part.
Now, I can spend effort on Bloodborne.

PS4
The Order: 1886 - 2nd playthrough
Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag

PS Vita
Tearaway
Soldner-X 2: Final Prototype

Backlog:

Another World
Saints Row IV: Re-Elected
Rayman Legends
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (eugh)

New releases:

Life is Strange: Episode 1
Resident Evil: Revelations 2
Battlefield Hardline
Mario Party 10 (as much as it can be beat)
Ori and the Blind Forest
OlliOlli and OlliOlli2
LA Cops

I ended up beating:

The Amazing Spider-Man 2
Battlefield Hardline
DmC: Definitive Edition
Life is Strange: Episode 2
Game of Thrones: Episode 3
Ori and the Blind Forest
Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious

Also most of L.A. Cops, before its mechanics and difficulty made it a cheap and frustrating pain in the ass.

I end the month with:

Dead Rising 3 (Xbox One)
LittleBigPlanet 3 (PS4)
Far Cry 4 (PS4)
(And I got the platinum!)
Tales From The Borderlands: Episode Two (PS4)
Game of Thrones: Episode Three (PS4)
Life Is Strange: Episode Two (PC)
Forza Horizon 2 Presents: Fast and the Furious (Xbox One)
Forza Horizon 2 Presents: Fast and the Furious (Xbox 360)
The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season (PS4)

On to April!

And, to finish the month.

Hexcells Infinite
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
Picross E5: Still plugging away on occasion!
Watching all the Pirates of the Carribean films
Lego Pirates of the Carribean
The Denpa Men: Still suffering from no idea how close I am to the end. I've seen a L99 area, but that *has* to be for postgame, surely? Fighting some tough bosses at the moment - a group of three, one after another, but they don't feel climactic enough to be the final ones.
Infinifactory: Played the first of the non-tutorial new levels. Took me ages, and the second seems even more complex. The teleport mechanic puts me in mind of having to create and parse a bitstream input, in programming terms.
Streetpass Mansion
Fatal Frame: I wonder if I'll return to the series sooner rather than later. On the one hand, I'm not good with fear, and really needed quite a lot of... I guess, if you can imagine a 'fearquit' as something vaguely akin to a 'ragequit'? - but on the other hand, I really, really enjoyed it.
John's Fire Witch
CounterSpy: I enjoyed this for as long as it lasted, but I don't think I'll be replaying it any time soon; the content was wearing awfully thin towards the end, with quite a few repeated rooms. The core gameplay was a lot of fun, though, even if it did get a bit samey and occasionally felt a lilttle unfair. I'd love to see what they could do with a followup.
Remember Me: About three quarters of the way through, I think? At the start of Chapter 6. Really liking it.

Forza Horizon 2 Presents: Fast and the Furious (Xbox One)
Forza Horizon 2 Presents: Fast and the Furious (Xbox 360)

Do they have different content from one another?

Do they have different content from one another?

They do! Kind of. I would say 50% of the races and challenges are the same, while the other 50% are different. It's not a major difference, but it was enough. There were more straight up lap races in the 360 version.
