You say that like the 3rd person animations are hand drawn stick figures. They're presented perfectly fine.

It's not a super important thing. I would agree that it should be at the bottom of the list for things they're working on. But it's super jarring going out of FP for that and the execution animations. It would be much better to just have everything be in first person, and in the first game, it felt kind of cool to have a close up look of your Titan grabbing you and pulling you in, or watching your Titan grab a pilot out of an enemy Titan and crush his body, or throw him like a football. It's the small things that can make a big difference. Why are the first person animations so important people? It's a little visual window dressing that has zero bearing on the gameplay whatsoever.

Then why didn't they just have it in the first place? Did they not realize that it would be very jarring and annoying to go out of FP?
It seems like another one of those things that they just "forgot" about or just didn't care about, like how going into your Titan doesn't give anti-Titan ammo anymore.
That gives me the feeling that the character isn't going to be that good and they are trying every little thing to get you to to not forget he's a character -_-The animations are shared with the campaign as far as I can tell, so it was probably in an effort to remind you of the character you're playing.
You know what?
The map is a big problem. I don't like it. Proximity radar doesn't help you pinpoint campers as much as it did in the first game. I want a map that shows me where people are if they shoot, just like the original. I feel like most firefights happen when someone gets the jump on your or camps/snipes.
It's never running around with an enemy and going up against them on a roof or inside. Pilot gameplay is so trash.
The added recoil is not welcome. Pilot vs Titan is pointless, Anti-Titan weapons are trash, the purpose of Rodeo is only to benefit your or someone else's Titan, not to fight them. You cannot 1v1 a Titan. Even if that Titan is casual scum.
No on I've seen seems to be having the trouble you are with Titans. The mag launcher and grenades alone seem to be enough.
I don't understand why is it so difficult to implement, unless they're being adamant about. After all you get out of the titan in FPV, you climb and rodeo a titan in FPV, you eject from a titan in FPV, why that one interaction has to be in third person?

Yeah.

I don't know how to measure myself but my MVP rate in R1 is around 80%, mostly I didn't have it when playing with TitanBrehs (GAF).
When my deaths NEVER feel like my fault, I think I feel what people hated about the Smart Pistol. I never hated dying by that gun, but I feel like breaking the TV every fucking time my glowing body gets jumped on in half a second by someone camping. It's trash and is basically why I never play CoD.
You can watch a video of mine if you want to be all judgemental, but seriously, MVP or not, the shit people die by in this game... I was watching a stream yesterday and literally every death the player is frustrated as fuck. It's exactly like CoD in that regard.

I've actually seen you in attrition. I just realized it now when i saw your "lasky" name in a video. I mean... listen, it sounds like simple frustrating from a lack of familiarity with the tech test and .the maps in general
And yes there are a lot of campers right now, and tons of snipers but what do you expect? That's how new players play the game, especially the probably thousands that are coming from COD. Not like we didn't get that in the original game. Only there you have more experience, you know how to play to deal with them.
If you're only playing bounty hunt i can see how you could be frustrated. It's a flawed mode, with not enough players. It should be 6v6.
On a Twitch stream/interview yesterday, a Respawn developer specifically ruled out the first-person animations (the stream was posted earlier in the thread). I seriously doubt that you will see any substantial AI enhancements at launch, if ever.
Lastly, due to marketing deals with other companies, the release cannot be delayed until 2017.
Turns out I am garbage at PvP.
Does anyone else feel like the insane amounts of Auto-Aim is making it harder to hit stuff? I'll try insane sensitivity instead.

I died last night because auto-aim dragged my crosshairs onto a Titan crossing from right to left and made me miss the Pilot I was actually aiming at.
The small movement chain brought back memories of Titanfall 1.
I would have dropped the Titan on him, but there was someone else coming and didn't want to risk taking extra damage due to no bubble shields with warp fall.
Anyone else having an issue that it feels harder to place a Titan drop point exactly where you want it compared to the first game?

No, its fine.Is share button disabled for this game on PS4? I tried to capture some footage and I couldn't save it for some reason.
My problem with the changes they've made is they can't beat Call of Duty as far as casuals are concerned.
If they reduce Titanfall to Call of Duty's level of accessibility, COD will trounce them with their experience every time. They should be trying to be successful the same way Battlefield, or Rainbow Six Siege, or Overwatch is - 'here's our niche, you won't get this elsewhere'.
But instead it's 'You like Call of Duty, well we have Pilots vs. Pilots', 'You like specific lanes from A to B which you can camp for kills, like in Call of Duty? We've got you covered'.
Wut?The added recoil is not welcome. Pilot vs Titan is pointless, Anti-Titan weapons are trash, the purpose of Rodeo is only to benefit your or someone else's Titan, not to fight them. You cannot 1v1 a Titan. Even if that Titan is casual scum.
Wut?
I played TF1 until it became impossible to get games at a reasonable speed on PC. The balance of Pilot vs Titan in a 1v1 showdown was awesome. I could always tell I was outmatched when a Pilot took me and my Titan down solo. Ridiculously frustrating... but totally my fault. That's the kind of balance I loved. The idea I could take out a Titan as a Pilot if I was skilled enough made me keep playing. I enjoyed that moment of fear and hesitation when I was in a Titan, knowing I couldn't let me guard down for anyone or anything, while still feeling invincible and Godlike at the same time. Perfect dichotomy
They took that out? =(

Agreed. It's not something that is game breaking but it does make a difference. It's one of those things you question WHY?It's not a super important thing. 1st person>3rd person
I go grenade on pilot vs pilot, and arc in other modes. The arc does stun pretty well. I don't know why they called it arc though, they should have just called it a stun grenade, and then made the arc a visual disorienter like the first game just not as OP as it was.edit: what grenade do you recommend? Arc doesn't seem to do much.
There was and is camping in the original titanfall. There's a ton of people that don't move at all.Well, I understand why Respawn would do it, but such tactics were heavily discouraged in R1 and that's why I loved it.
Try camping in something like Quake or UT for example. It was incredible to have a game where movement and strategy was more important than aiming.
Did you switch to "classic" ? i have mine on classic and high sensitivity. I think the aiming is better in this game. More accuracy in air, more accuracy on hipfire. It's almost too easy.Turns out I am garbage at PvP.
Does anyone else feel like the insane amounts of Auto-Aim is making it harder to hit stuff? I'll try insane sensitivity instead.
It's the same. Been confirmed by a dev on the subreddit. Is the FOV lower than OG Titanfall? I feel like my Aim goes all over the place all the time. It's damn annoying.

Yeah the matchmaking is pissing me off as well. Infinityward/respawn always enjoyed doign this for some reason then everyone bitches and they fix it.Yeah, I did. Switching back and forth between R1 and R2, I can't hit stuff nearly as much. There has to be something different.
I see. More recoil or something?

edit: okay seriously, can I please stop being put in games that are 50%+ done? Can I like, opt out or something?
Titanfall 2 could have been so unique but they instead want a slice of that cod pie like everyone else wanted for the last 5 or so years, it's upsetting to think about what could have been with this game.
And the removal of things which were spoken about in pax talks and explained why they were there, just nuked from orbit to make changes the game NEVER needed.
I wish this would be more like cod. But it's just plain bad. Just a mediocore multiplayer shooter.
With a few more must needed tweaks and the right game modes i think it's gonna play great. hold out hope.
ok, thanks for stopping by.
They can be glitchy as fuck, just look at the above gifs.
I think that people rejecting it because it's too different or not the same as titanfall 1 are doing it a big disservice. Or they've got some elitist complex about not being able to play a game if it's branded as too similar to COD.
This game is not trash. It is not garbage. It is not awful. It may not be what you expected from a titanfall sequel but the game is not poorly made. It is possible for a game to play well and be designed well and with a complex gameplay system but also not be what you expected. We also are playing a small portion of what the full game has to offer and people totally ignore that when evaluating this version.
That's my problem with all the complaints. It feels like complaining that the game isn't what you wanted it to be, not evaluating it on its own. The first game still exists on PC and XB1 if you want that. I'll still play it from time to time as well, but I think titanfall 2 is offering a lot of good and unique gameplay of its own.
I like the new rodeo system. I like knowing that rodeoing an enemy gives you benefits for your own gameplay or lets you help a teammate. I like how it forces the pilot off the titan and makes them escape to get their battery, and gives the titan a chance to kill them without getting out of the titan. I like the hipfire on the SMGs and how they feel for on the run shooting. I like the slide/jump bunnyhopping, I like the weapons a lot. I like the bounty hunt mode and I actually like the maps being designed around it. I like that the titans are more vulnerable if you rush to use them and tougher and longer lasting if you take your time and are strategic about it.

In either case, if you just like first person more that's fair enough, but I feel as though some people are just nit picking. Trashing every small change, largely for the sole reason that it's different. Listening to some of you would make people believe that third person Titan transitions completely ruins the game, but the reality is that many games offer no transitional period at all, games like Battlefield are inherently more disorientating, switching instantly from any angle, to the first person vehicle perspective, yet you rarely see people claiming that ruins the experience in those games.
