Shiit been trying the CoD:G demo and it's so terrible and clunky. And that's just the on-foot combat compared. I'll never mention CoD and TF in the same sentence again.

I'm starting to think there's something wrong with my PC. I've got a decent rig (intel i5 2.66ghz quad core, 7850 2GB OC edition, 8gb RAM EDIT: which btw are all above recommended specs for TF...) and yet Guild Wars 2 and now Titanfall both drop below 30 fps (sometimes into the teens) when a lot of stuff is going on, even with all settings at their lowest...

Sure it would suck for them, but it's not like the people who did the trick didn't know what they were getting into. Plus, realize that the scenario people are doing (using the beta exe with the rest of the final game) was never tested by Respawn/EA, and who knows what sort of impact it's having on their backend? Maybe there were bugs fixed in the game that are now suddenly happening again because people are using the old exe?

People should feel free to be excited, and if they get the game legitimately early, they can play it without consequence. People who go mucking around with the files, even if they were provided by Respawn for the beta, is not cool. Seriously, people need to just be patient.

Unfortunately some might not know what they're getting into, amazingly some gaming websites (not forums) posted about the way to play early using the modified exe, and posted the original respawn tweet which was talking about playing the Xbox one version early and stated that respawn said it was ok to play the PC version early (as the earlier tweet didn't mention a version).

In these same articles some actually link to post here on gaf and link the modified exe.

So if someone goes to a site like above and reads an article that has a tweet from respawn saying you can play early without getting banned and the site provided the method to do it, they might think its allowed (or at least think it was allowed at the time). Yes later tweets made it clear, but earlier tweets made it hazy and some sites went with it.

My TitanFall order finally completed so I'll start preloading now. I will check most of the data compared to the beta such as the exp values and generation challenges and let you guys know what they are in the final version.

Anyone else having trouble running the game? I haven't had much trouble running anything until Titanfall with my GTX 650 ti boost. I also have the textures set to just high, running in 1080p and all the other settings on high.

Really don't think my PC should be having that much trouble playing the game at these settings. Feels a bit unoptimized.

Weird thing is that I was able to play the beta perfectly.

maybe the texture increase>? or was the PC beta having full textures ?...just a guess

He must be a really good player if he is leveling up every game. I have a positive KD and I am not close to leveling up every game. Usually every three games or so. I think I am lvl 23 or something right now.

My friend is also leveling up every game.

I agree 100%. I'm a fan of games and enjoy playing good games. However, there are quite a few people here more concerned about counting pixels and disparaging games they cannot play (e.g. PC can't handle it/don't own an Xbox one in regards to TF). The rest of us will be too busy playing titanfall in a couple of days and it will be all good.

Update: I'm not sure what exactly fixed it for me, but after cleaning out my PC of dust and disabling indexing of my HDD...I'm no longer getting drops below 30. Feels smooth all the time now, even on high settings.

so now that this has been played by a number of guys, any answers regarding the following or have I just missed them?

1) What is campaign and how does it play

2) What is up with the monsters? Are they on each board, do they interact randomly, etc?

Campaign is just like classic except it's bookended by intro scenes (like you getting flown in to the level on a dropship overhearing orders) and a couple mission ending sequences unique to campaign. There's dialogue almost nonstop between Militia and IMC commanders. A lot of exposition.

Most maps don't have monsters, or at least of the nine maps that make up campaign. The only map that even had interactive monsters I saw was the desert one, and I was kinda disappointed because even when I shot the dragons, they didn't attack me, they just flew off.

1) You sit in a lobby and get told exposition. Then briefly warp in to the map with a little more exposition. Play either Domination or TDM then fly out with a little more exposition. Basically it's a complete waste of space and time, I have no idea why they put it in.

2) They just sit there and occasionally interact with NPCs.

Double dipping.

Both PC, and Bone versions bought digitally. When I was pissed last night I also ordered the mouse mat lol.
