Shinji saved Hinamori from Gerard then they disappeared or something.
In terms of characters, there was one at the very beginning of this arc that looked like he was going to play an important role and just petered out. (I think he was appeared when Ichigo and co were eating bread during a break)

I'm thoroughly enjoying going though the last few pages and just seeing everyone rip into the manga. Kubo is leaving so much on the table it's fucking ridiculous. I can't believe I stuck with it this far myself, for a long while the only good thing the manga had going for it was Aizen, everything else was just pure shit.

The biggest shame. Kubo just needs to be like, lead artist for a project.
My otaku wet dream is a Dragon Quest-like helmed by the trio of Yasumi Matsuno, Tite Kubo, and Masashi Hamauzu. Maybe together, their problems will be mended, LMAO
My personal headcanon is that her bankai still takes the shikai 'stamp' into account, aka if you've been struck one, just getting caught in the blast will count as a 2nd hit
Makes me feel a bit better about her rocket launcher

Right. I actually liked that reveal. Hey shikai was a 2 shot kill and her bankai was a 1 shot kill. It kept to a theme.

So much unanswered stuff and characters that just fucking vanished. Like, maybe the other half of the Vizards might be good to ha... nah nevermind ain't nobody but Ichigo important despite pretty much everybody but Ichigo being more interesting.
Like Fake Karakura Town arc, you can skip almost everything. Unless you are interested in reading bad battles, boring hax powers and many plotkais.

Can we talk about how garbage Ichigo's bankai is? Even Renji's first bankai was more interesting. Hell his entire Zanpakuto is lame as fuck. He gets a giant butcher knife that shoots energy waves. Generic. But then he gets this badass bankai:

Except like two chapters/episodes later, everyone is moving as fast as he does when he uses his bankai. So it basically becomes a regular fucking sword that he probably only uses to fight more comfortably because swinging around that giant cumbersome shikai was a pain in the ass. A shikai that he didn't even use correctly.
And what does it even do now? It's a multi-layered sword that getsugas extra hard? Fuck you.

Kubo wrote himself into a corner giving Ichigo super speed as a bankai, speed is too broken of a power when fights are fought/settled mostly via melee. Either you give all your villains unique powers that can negate or handle a speed disadvantage or you say fuck it and just forget about that super speed power.
Series kind of started to fall apart during the invasion of Hueco Mundo and plummeted off a cliff during the war.
It's guaranteed any time a power in a shounen manga will "slowly destroy the user's body", it will have no lasting consequences whatsoever.
But he's just so wacky!

I read through the part where Aizen gets imprisoned. The stuff that came after felt really dumb so I skipped it... read a couple chapters after Aizen was brought back... and yeah. I'll probably check out the last chapter but Kubo probably should have ended this thing years ago.
Remember Gin died just with a stab wound to the heart and a rip off hand (like that means anything in this manga) but Hirori lives losing her torso and just didn't bleed out in mere seconds...
