We don't know what happened to him post-Yhwach bath anyway. He could've gotten killed, he could've gotten his wishes and Soul Society went "eh, if it holds reality together and keeps him placated who cares anymore", or he was even rounded back up while comatose and bound in the dungeon again.

And the more I think about it I kinda like how this seems to be setting up everything to be peachy keen only to wreck everything at the last second. Next week will make or break what reputation it has left I suppose, these kinds of endings are always fascinating to me.

exactly, that's the point. We don't know. I said Or, as in another possible solution since the poster seemed deadset on him still being a live.

The announcement is gonna be for a Bleach 2 or whatever. Also recall Ywach saying he'd find the future where they were happiest and then slaughter them all.

Soul Society isn't like, heaven or anything.

It's a parallel world to the Human World where people born in Soul Society use the souls of the dead in the Human World, and people who die in Soul Society become the souls of people born in the Human World, going around in a cycle.

That was the entire issue with quincies before Kubo shat it up.

The whole concept of "families" in Soul Society has been weird from the outset for this reason. When people die in the real world, they apparently enter Soul Society as they had lived. You can go back as far as Yuichi Shibata (the boy who was being pursued by the Shrieker hollow) for an example.

I believe it was implied early on that pretty much all families in Soul Society are adoptive in nature... which is weird when you consider that many family members nonetheless share common physical traits.

Rukia had a sister who remembered her but apparently were in different soul society castes. Also Rukia then aged and her sister died in death and Byakuya adopted Rukia.

Doubt it. Gonna guess a 15 anni. movie, at the most an anime adaption of the last arc

Soooo... Which Bankai we didn't see in the end, even a glimpse of ?
Hisagi's. As he will be reminded of for all of eternity.

This is why Yhwach's post-death strike won't work, it can only be the happiest end when he can prove everyone he has bankai, and he never can.

I wonder what the hell Isshin fought that he had to use FGT, dude was strong enough to knock back Aizen, more than most people can say.

At the end of the day, I wish I hadn't maintained curiosity about how this series would end. Why did I keep reading

It hasn't been good for years.

I played myself.

Bleach has been shit for a while and never had any chance for improvement, but you were reading it for the wrongs reasons. It's essentially like a trainwreck but extremely low quality for the pay off comes rarely and you largely have to read genuine shit, but occasionally, occassionally ther's some solid entertainment to be had (who told the espada went from 1 to 10, the heart, since when were under the impression etc). Truly tremendous levels of shit writing.

:lol

Of course Mayuri has another ridiculous outfit, one last one for the road.

Mayuri is always fabulous.

As I said before, I'm pretty happy with the new lineup. It's not as strong as the original lineup with Gin, Aizen, Yamamoto, etc., but there are still some heavy-hitters - Kyouraku, Kenpachi, Byakuya, Mayuri, the vizards (since Kubo won't be around to make them job anymore). Rukia got a huge powerup from Squad Zero as well.

I bet Yhwach's left behind reiatsu is just reacting to Ichigo showing up to congratulate Rukia.

The guy the two vizard captains jobbed to was beaten by fucking RENJI though.

Soooo... Which Bankai we didn't see in the end, even a glimpse of ?

They literally just trolled Shuuhei in the last issue, where he claims he has his bankai, everyone insults him and suggest he might just be making it up or making excuses, and him just yelling back that he never had a chance to release it. Then hitsugaya just says "well I mean, then the last few years have been peaceful i guess."

Sigh... So rushed.

So what, Aizen, after being freed from his chair, with the goal of the Soul King literally right in front of him, nothing happens? He fought a whole war, planned years of secret plans. And then just says "eh, I'm good".

I bet he took over as Soul King after Bach ate the old one.

I'm pretty sure aging is just slowed in soul society, not stopped, given we've seen little kid Byakuya in turn back the pendulum

again makes no sense, Ichibei is old as dirt and yet looks much younger than Yama.

Unohana was from the same gen as Yama and still hasn't aged.

Actually, Yama is the real problem here, the probably chose to age himself so he could go around saying "im too old for this shit".

What happened to Harribel?

Or Grimmjow?

Why did Yhwach/Aizen hate the Soul King?

What is the Soul King, and why is its body rebelling?

What's Bleach?

Watched Bleach to the end on Adult Swim.

Peeked into this thread for the first time yesterday, and now i'm reading the not-last-chapter.

Man, this series has had way too many fucking characters for proper plot/character development. Back during the first few arcs it really seemed like it was going to be a proper Yu Yu Hakusho successor (HxH's way too grim) but it slowly degenerated into DBZ and somehow turned out much worse.

That's him shortly after his death but still in the real world.

And then when Chad & Ichigo ran into him in Soul Society:

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think we've ever seen or read of a single "birth" in Soul Society. As far back as I can recall, it's just been dead people crossing over from the real world.

Like I said, this gets weird when you notice how many Soul Society families nonetheless seem to have members who bear striking similarities to each other, as if they are blood related. Though I suppose there's a chance that those are just the cases where those from real world families did actually succeed in reuniting in Soul Society.

Should've replaced Ichigo and Ishida with their dads at the end when delivering the finishing blow on Yhwach. Dunno why papa-Ishida had to deliver the arrow to a middleman in the first place.

At least not as many people would've seen that one coming, trumping the power of The Asspull with itself.

People can also be born in SS, which is why you have noble families. You just switch over to the other side when you die. But if you go from real world to SS, you remember everything. If you die in SS and reincarnate in the real world, you lose all your memories and basically start over as someone's baby, I presume.

let's all remember Rose only lost because he told hs opponent how his bankai worked

this is what always happened

Hero: This is exactly how my bankai worked, and it can only be defeated by this one incredibly specific thing
Villain: Oh, well my power is that one incredibly specific thing
Hero: OH NO

Reverse that and your right more often as before this arc heroes barely ever lost except designated jobbers or when against Aizen. Hell Ishida even beat Mayuri on his first introduction (Chad of course still jobbed)

I'm not discounting the possibility, but again, was this ever shown or explained at any point in the series?

On the face of it, it kind of flies in the face of the "balance of souls" concept in the first place. A person lives in the real world, then dies, passing into Soul Society (as the same person), and then when they die in Soul Society, they get reincarnated as a new person entirely in the real world. If someone is "born" in Soul Society, then where is that soul coming from? Is it being created from scratch?

Have you stopped for a second, and considered the reason it makes no sense is because Kubo is absolute shit at coherent world building?

Well, for the world population to increase, something must be created from scratch, in one or the other side, or both...

Maybe that was the original resolution to the quincy issue.

I mean, Kubo definitely didn't think of that, but that's how I'd write it.

Nah. You'd just have to wipe out millions of people in Soul Society at once for there to be a population spike in the real world.

Kubo is just trolling in this chapter, lol. I mean Hitsugayas comment about nothing happened the past 10 years, Shunsuis comment about his pace and then Shuheis comment about his bankai.

Kubo is a genius, lol.

Kubo was at near maximum troll level with this chapter. There were so many winks and nudges. Like yo Hisagi, you didn't do shit! We didn't even get to see your bankai lolz.

How did Hisagi survive? And his captain? How did Matsumoto survive? Where is Kira and how did he survive? How did birdman die? Why is Toshiro a kid again? Where's Yachiru (I guess that would be in Kenny's sword)? Who da soul king? How the hell were things nice and boring for 10 straight yrs?

Edit: And of course, no mention of Aizen or Ichigo. Or Ishida/Chad/Inoue for that matter, though at least for the humans we can assume they're pushing 30 in the real world depressed af, longing for these last 17 yrs of wasted youth.
