Me too. Most of the time I get put against people (on the PS3 version) who use those DLC weapons and perks and they get slaughter badly.

I know Wii U and Xbone are getting worked lately but trying to single handily change the sales through negativity on a forum really shits up the board to an unreadable degree.
Literally this. This is all you need. Reading the original thread about the microtransactions and seeing people immediately jump to the allegations that the MP is pay to win obviously never played a single match.

It shouldn't be this way. You can win without it I do. But it would be easier with custom loadouts. ND fix this mistake or you will never sell another game again. I am an expert or something.

I think it's the notion that everything should be earnable and not locked behind a paywall.

It's not like it is in DLC where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw someone over in microtransactions, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.
What this means is the PS audience public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase The Last of Us for either system, nor will they purchase any of Square's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Naughty Dog has alienated an entire market with this move.

The only things in CoD you can get with real money besides maps are cosmetic, and I think one gun came with a map pack in Black Ops 2. Not the same.

Well the practice may suck in general but what is up with all these drive by trolling tlou topics? If most of the complainers actually had played the game they would have noticed that this has little to no meaning in the actual game. Should it be excused? Well no, but it is pretty much a standard in the genre nowadays. It's in no way worth all the hate.
