The Trey Triplets (Gold Zeo Rangers) just threatened Austin St. John (Red MMPR, Gold Zeo) and Brad Hawkins (VR Troopers, and Gold Zeo Ranger voice) I had no clue he was the voice...over misrepresentation of the Gold Zeo ranger. I guess they believe the two others should accredit them in some way on their posters and when advertising themselves as the Gold Zeo ranger. They also briefly talk about the Power Rangers Zeo movie. Did we know we were supposed to get a Zeo movie in '97?

It sounds like the Triplets are salty they didn't get the same recognition for Zeo Gold that ASJ did. Never mind that ASJ was the original Red and his return was a big deal.

The threat at the end wasn't cool.

I'm just glad you still get your fun out of it like I do. I pick it up every now and then and just go random and see what I can cook up. Something that is actually giving me Chou Climax Hero vibes lately is that new Dragonball Z Extreme Butoden game.

-Attacks are string based like Chou climax was using a light and heavy attack button along with a special attack button.
-You mainly use meter for cancels to extend strings (though generally only one string)
-once your health is so low you gain crazy comeback tools

Granted its got its own meter game with charging it, how every special uses it, and how much of it gets used for certain strings and other stuff, but the mentality is super similar. Its nice having universal airdashes and command dodges here too. If you get a chance pick it up and give it hell. If you liked Chou Climax Heroes it'd probably seem like a fun ride. Plus you can either choose up to 3 characters in one mode on a team or replace characters with 2 assist characters (up to 4). Still has that same rhythm though for combos and cancels...like running a tag team setup in Climax Heroes really.

I imported the JP version back in June and I was in the lab fierce when it dropped then.

The game is all synergy on different levels. How you choose a team in combination with Z-Assists make a whole bunch a difference in the meta before the match even starts.

The combo system is very freeflow as you know. The things you're able to do off of the strings they give you is great. The Z-Cancel and all the juggle states keep battles fresh and if you time a tag or Z-Assist when necessary then the fun keeps on going.

I wish I had some way to capture 3DS stuff that didn't cost as much as it did because I'd gladly go in on something that would let me show off some tech because SSGSS Goku is that dude and my favorite lab subject with SS Vegeta, Android 18 & Trunks right behind him.

If you get a chance to take a peep at Ultimate Butoden. That game has damn near everybody playable including King Kai for some reason. It's not as juggle heavy as Extreme but there's some stuff there for a fellow lab rat. Trust me.

Sorry triplets, you where technically the real gold ranger in the story but from a real world perspective you were a plot device to give Jason Zeo powers. His return might not have been planned from the start but for all intents and purposes he is Zeo's gold ranger.

On that particular statement, keep your hopes up. There's a chance we might get something on the NX that lets you play your 3ds title on the big screen. If that happens we might FINALLY be able to stream handhelds soon. Its one of my main wishes.

Someone got their hands on some Dino Super Charge action figures (apparently they were at a garage sale in Cali, weird)

Carnival Mode is called "T-Rex Super Charge Red Ranger". At least they're not calling it a Battlizer.
The back of the box also reveals figures for Female Purple (Kendall) and Male Aqua. There's also Neo-Zeltrax (or whatever they're going to call him)

Decent episode. At least someone is finally calling Yakumo "Cloud" like the show promised back at the beginning.
Kind of disappointed that Tsubasa's appearance was just a cameo and not a full episode like Sasuke, Yosuke, and Toha Yamaji.

Ugh, I hate this kind of episode, where one member lies and the others have to go with it.

Anyway, the Mahou Sentai part was pretty funny. The girl was annoying.

Yakumo has the weirdest focus episodes.

Confident Takeru is best Takeru (so far). Loved that he no longer took Makoto's shit lying down.
But yeah, seems they were childhood friends. It's been 10 years so easy to see why they don't remember each other. Plus, Makoto and his sister looked like they ended up in Hell. That place looked freaky.
We also learned more about bad teeth man, or Saionji. Reminds me of Banno from Drive.

I was surprised to see Captain Ghost again, I thought that being an all CGI creation they would only use him once.

We're getting footage from Ghost X Drive. Can't wait to see that in July...

Wait, just 30 days already? Whoa.

I feel they could have handled this "childhood friend" thing a bit better.

At least Takeru got a lot better. Backstory is good, too. The "villain" duo even have names now!

Seijuu Sentai Gingaman (series complete)

Pretty standard season overall. Not the best but certainly not bad.
The Seijuu (Starbeasts) do make me miss how the individual Zords were once practical effects. I know Ninninger did that but the Gekiatsu Dai-Oh set is all ugly CGI, and most of the time in other seasons they're CG.
This was a very screamy season, Ryoma and Hayate were particularly guilty. So much rage.
I liked Bull Black, nice to see a gray-area hero. Hyuuga was great too, though the whole thing with Bookcrates at the end dragged a bit.
Gingaman is kind of like a proto-Goseiger, with the whole "Generals with different armies" thing going on. I feel Gingaman did it better as they all had one boss to unite them, though the twist with Brajil is still great.
I will never understand how they got away with Shelinda's outfit. Maybe they designed it for someone that wasn't a busty porn star?

I should watch Lost Galaxy. See how they turned a series about homeless hippies fighting space pirates into another epic space opera with a colony and an Alien homage.

I like how the
Superior Ganma seem to be basically Riders - using Eyecons to transform, just with a Ganma belt rather than the Ghost Driver. That means we can have more Rider-like characters than just the 3 revealed by the toyline.

Magiranger is so good. Still on episode 12, but loving it. Hope it keeps this quality.

The 2000's were a good age for Sentai, at least imo. Abaranger, Dekaranger, Magiranger, Gekiranger.

Hurricanger too, strong parts with some weak links. From the ones I watched, Bouken and Gao were the weakest, but weren't bad, just not as good.
