Toei sure has been acting uh,... weird about the male Ninnin lately. First there was that official video with the Fifty Shades parody and now there's this little bit in the drive crossover that you'll all see soon.

Finished Dekaranger. The whole non-central villain thing was a cool change on the formula (yeah, most of then financed by Abrera, but each enemy had their own motives and stories), the characters were good, and Doggie is now my favorite mentor. The whole Space Police thing reminded me a lot of Metal Heroes, but that's a good thing.

Now... my plan was to start Carranger and something else, after I finished Deka, but I think it's a bit better to wait for all the episodes to be subbed, first.

Maybe I'll rewatch Flashman. Yeah, it's been years, I want to see if it was as good as I remember. Any other suggestions? My favorite series are Jetman and Abaranger, maybe with Gokaiger as a third. The one I liked the least was Zyuranger, but it wasn't bad, just kinda boring. I've also watched Kakuranger, Hurricanger, Dekaranger, Shinkenger, Kyoryuger, ToQGer and both Akibaranger seasons. Google V, Changeman, Flashman and Maskman when I was a kid, but I don't think those should count.

Timeranger is a must-watch, but OT isn't finished with it and the only other subs were made on Windows Movie Maker recorded on VHS when it aired 16 years ago. And of course, if you haven't seen Gekiranger, you should watch Gekiranger.

Yeah, I'll wait on Timeranger. It's pretty high on my list, but I'll wait until we get decent subs with good video quality. Doing that with Battle Fever J, too.

And thanks! I'll search for Gekiranger tonight.

Yesterday I was watching some old Jiraiya episodes with my brother. Man, now I remember why we liked it so much. The fights and stunts are fantastic, even if the villains are a bit ridiculous.

Garo the animation finished. Don't think it lived up to the premise, but if you like garo... its pretty much garo but as an anime.

Think the cg suit fights look better than they did in the live action though, and the characters are way more interesting and likeable than kouga and co.

*waits for the Drive vs Ninninger subs*

The West's first exposure to Kamen Rider
... No wonder it never caught on.
Seriously, this Rider's acting is dreadful.

As someone who loved Black and liked RX, I hated this show. It was so... weird watching it. Maybe young me was expecting too much (OMG KAMEN RIDER FROM THE GUYS WHO MADE POWER RANGERS), but, yeah. I wonder if I watched Zyuranger before PR, I would feel like this with PR too... Nah, I kinda liked VR Troopers, and loved Spielban.

Oh yes, Gekiranger. I have a good feeling about this. Watched the first two episodes, and while I'm still not sure if I like the main characters or not, I know I already like the action scenes, theme, weapons, mecha and villains. Mele left a strong first impression in me. The fly-narrator for the mecha battle is also a good addition.

Bane? Get them on board, I'll call it in.
Linkara announced the dates for the Samurai and Megaforce videos.
August 6th and December 24th respectively. Both will cover both seasons (as opposed to separate videos on Samurai & Super Samurai, and Megaforce & Super Megaforce) as they barely have enough story to fill out "two" separate videos.

Oh you mean Ted Jan Roberts star of such hit movies like Tiger Heart, and the Magic Kid 1 & 2?

Those sound like such amazing movies.
Then again, most actors from those shows never really did anything.
Like that Bryan Cranston fellow that played Twinman, he never did anything of note.

Getting around to finishing MMPR S2 from that big DVD set that came out a few years ago. I'm honestly bothered that they did a time travel 3-parter with Return of the Green Ranger, then 4 episodes later, do another one with Wild West Rangers.

Then in RotGR, the Rangers can't contact Zordon and Alpha, but in WWR, Kimberly teleports to the Command Center, and Angel Grove isn't a port town anymore.

Maybe it's a strange way Westerners react to shows, like they see all toku as Power Rangers, etc.?

Western ignorance is a powerful thing.
It's like how all anime is DBZ, Sailor Moon, or porn.
Every Toku superhero is Power Rangers, and every Toku giant monster movie is Godzilla.
Not to mention assholes that call MMPR a Voltron rip-off.

That's not Western. General people in my country will see any tokusatsu cosplay as Power Rangers or Kamen Rider Black.

Eh, I think everyone reacts like that with things that they don't have or lost interest for. PR was pretty big, once, and even people that were not interested at all at least know about it.

Here on Brazil, before PR, everything was either Changeman or Juspion. :p

Lol. When Shinnosuke copied Takaharu's catchphrase at the end of the crossover with actual enthusiasm, it just goes to show how bad Takaharu's actor is at acting.

Shuriken Sentai Ninninger vs Kamen Rider Drive: Go See The Movie Special

I know it's not called that, but it might as well be.
It was still a lot of fun though. But it really did showcase how poor Takaharu's acting is when up against Shinnosuke. I do wonder how the audition process works over there.
For some reason I thought we were going to get
Shurikenjin Tridoron
, but I guess that's being saved for the movie.

Man, Great Leader has been through so much punishment that he's nothing more than a belt now. Unless that was him communicating through the belt...

Yes, that's it. Great Leader (in the present) appears in Kamen Rider 4 as a hooded figure with his face completely covered in shadows.

Boss Doggie

all my loli wolf companions are so moe
Yeah precure is TOEI's magical girl cash cow

With that said I find it weird that it's not Precure who does something Decade-ish for little girls. It's pic related instead.
