Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Special Edition - $79.99 | Best Buy US pre-orders back up

Is that so? I guess that rumour can't be nipped in the bud just yet. Thanks for the info.

If I read it right, the Fortissimo Edition came with four different DLC packs, including the SMT costume set. If there wasn't any other DLC for the game, that would mean the Hot Springs pack would be the fifth.

Went ahead and pre-ordered at Gamestop just to make sure I don't miss it. Will cancel once I can get one from Best Buy/Amazon for 20% off.

Just saw Best Buy not getting it. I wonder if they decided not to bother after the FE SE.

Nintendo probably isn't going to be making enough of these to spread across all the major retailers, so it makes some sense to limit the allotment between the two biggest retailers for games.

Same week as No Man’s Sky? Ballsy. Hope it pays off. Or at least doesn't hurt

The CE is a pass for me, though I cant wait to get my hands on the game. They ever solve that long load time thing I was hearing about? Maybe a hard drive install for certain assets, a’la Xenoblade?

Does the CD have the
weird song from the end from the original FE commercial

We don't know the tracklist but it seems very possible that it may just be the same one as the Special Vocal Selection soundtrack CD included in the Japanese Fortissimo Edition, which didn't include that song.

When was the last Nintendo SE/LE that Best Buy didn't get? I'm sure stockwill be small and after waiting nearly a month and sending dozens of emails before getting my day 1 pre order my feelings arent hurt, lol.

How does it usually show up in Gamestop's systems after it goes on their online store? The manager at my local place only saw the standard and a "DLC" edition.

I feel like I only want this because I know it will be valuable on my shelf :)

I might just stick with my regular edition.

i'm not sure if I want it.
it's really underwhelming for $20 extra dollars.
I've seen day 1 versions that were free for preorders that were more impressive.

Sorry about that. Wrongly assumed Atlus was in charge, but I looked up and saw that the Bravely Second SE also had a sampler CD. Just a crappy practice not limited to Atlus.

Yeah, it's not great, especially since the full Vocal Collection OST already got released on its own in Japan.

I already bought the artbook and vocal CD but the SE box and song cards are quite nice, plus DLC code is included. It will take amazon.ca months to put this up though so I still have time to decide.

Usually around the same time. Was going to call myself and then saw this, so not soon enough!

It's really solid considering you get $10 of DLC. You're essentially getting the art book, sampler cd, card and stickers for $10.

Besides a lot of Day 1 editions from Atlus and Xseed are the only physical release of the game and sometimes are like $50 for 3DS/Vita titles.

I would hardly call getting a tiny art book a coaster and stickers worth $10 (I call it a coaster because that is all sampler CDs are good for.)

I still might get it, just feels really lackluster compared to a persona or fire emblem SE.

Unfortunately no.

If you bought the console bundle you also got a card for three support quests.

Here was all the DLC available and prices day 1:

Costumes

Tokyo Millennium Collection: includes “cosplay” costumes , made by Maiko (Maid Eleanora, Santa Tsubasa, Nurse Kiria) [400 Yen]

Let’s go to the Hot Springs! Fortuna Girls: a set of costumes for the female characters. You will also be able to watch a special program on the TV in the office (a hot spring TV show, where you can check out the characters wearing the swimsuits) [500 Yen]

Let’s go to the Hot Springs! Fortuna Boys: a set of costumes for the male characters. You will also be able to watch a special program on the TV in the office (a hot spring TV show, where you can check out the characters wearing the swimsuits) [300 Yen]Bundle with all 3 sets of costumes [1 000 Yen]

Support quests

Mirage Hunter – Experience Tale: allows you to get XP easily [400 Yen]

Mirage Hunter – Proficiency Tale: allows you to get items that improve the proficiency of your weapons, and allow your characters to learn skills faster [400 Yen]

Mirage Hunter – Wild Festival: allows you to fight large groups of rare enemies that drop stat-enhancing items [400 Yen]

Bundle with all three support quests [1 000 Yen]

You can see that four of sets are equal price at 400 yen. The support quests and the cosplay costumes, I assume the crossover costumes would be the same.

The Swimsuit DLC is uneven because of the different number of males to females and as such has different prices. Even if they put it all together for the US release it wouldn't only be $2 like the rest.

This really sucks. While that TV show sounds a bit weird I love having my characters in RPG's sometimes wear swimsuits for the ridiculousness. It's how I played most of Xenosaga.

So theres no preorder, I have to buy it the day it comes out?\
edit: oh on gamestop its up, i guess it just hasent went live on amazon yet

Eh, guess I'll head to GS tomorrow since I don't want any damage...

That's my plan. Amazon shipping Fire Emblem was pretty much what I expected in photos: bubble mailer damage, corners and sides smoosh.

I'm willing to support GS B&M until the end, for their adequate boxing of shipments being sent to stores!

Seriously, the upped their game with the Prime discount but they still can't fucking properly package anything. It drives me insane.

they just don't have uniform packaging for specific items which is awful. all based on luck on who happens to package your goods.

Yeah it sucks :/ I wish they trained their warehouse guys to put collectible items in boxes, but they probably just tell them "small size go in mailer". This one looks small too, if it's identical to the Japanese one, so YES it will be in a mailer. Keep that in mind...
