All of you defending Brady should be ashamed. The only thing worst than Goodell, the Ravens franchise and all things Bay Area sports are the Patriots and the morally repugnant scumbags that make up their shit stain of a team.

He did say no. They also have the other cell phones he would have communicated with were any of this true.

Tom Brady has no idea what he's in for. His whole personal life is going to go public if a subpoena drops.

He's a moron if he thinks AT&T/Verizon/Sprint/whoever doesn't keep text logs. They HAVE to for up to 7 years I think. That's the statute of limitations.

Tom is getting really bad advice from really dumb lawyers.

i asked this a page back im just still trying to figure out this sentence. does this mean he destroyed the phone 4 months after knowing they wanted it? or that he bought a new phone 4 months ago and was like NEW PHONE and smashed it right before they wanted it?

Right, he did say no, and had no obligation to hand over his phone. So... why ALSO destroy it, especially if you were going to try to fight something in court, where said device would be request and be legally binding as well?

The only man children i see is the collective ball washers of boston faithful.

I think I'm going to trust Brady's lawyers, considering he has one of the top NFL appeal lawyers working with him.

He knows what's going to happen when he goes to court

Ummmm, you realize it's not a criminal investigation right? The chances that any Judge would sign off on a warrant for this are slim to none.

Goodell is a joke. You'd think if he was going to play the his flag on this stupid non-issue, he could have at least paid for a competent, bullshit report to try and back him up.

The fact he reduced a wife beaters suspension from 10 to 4 games just a few weeks ago showcases what a hypocrite he is.

And what the hell do people expect to get from Tom's texts? There is nothing linking him in the texts free music the ball boys. Sounds like it was a pointless fishing exercise.

So patriots go 2-2. Last two times the team went 2-2 you went and won the superbowl. Obviously the NFL is just setting you up to win again.

Unless like someone else pointed out, the NFLPA fighting the NFL's authority in court, not whether Brady did it? If that's the case, would they still retrieve the texts?

Not having text messages isn't evidence.

He didn't want his phone and its contents to be in their possession. It's easier to say I can't give it to you because it's gone.

Why does destroying it point to cheating if, as you assert, he has no fear whatsoever that a simple refusal was sufficient? Please reason that out for me.

4 games is absurd, and I'm a Broncos fan. What's the penalty in the rulebook? A fine or something, right? So what gives?

I know this is a tired argument, but he shouldn't be suspended as many games as the wife beaters
