Tom Brady's Suspension Appeal News

Oh my god you guys, you all found him guilty years ago, stop acting like this is is some new revelation you've all come across.

I never thought Brady did anything wrong until now though. Spygate was an organizational thing.

Brady is being punished because he lied through his fucking teeth (likely, at this point, to protect BB I'm sure) and kept lying through the whole process. Had he just fessed up and taken the blame, this would have gone away and sane people would have laughed it up.

Again, the cover-up is oftentimes worse than the crime itself.

4 games is absurd, and I'm a Broncos fan. What's the penalty in the rulebook? A fine or something, right? So what gives?

I know this is a tired argument, but he shouldn't be suspended as many games as the wife beaters

The penalty for deflating the balls is a fine, he's being suspended for failing to cooperate and now destroying the phone

All of you defending Brady should be ashamed. The only thing worst than Goodell, the Ravens franchise and all things Bay Area sports are the Patriots and the morally repugnant scumbags that make up their shit stain of a team.

Yea, defending a local team from "cheating" allegations is the same as harboring a murderer.

wasn't he suspended 4 games before the investigation even started? wasn't the wells report part of the appeal?

this has gone on so long I can't even remember the timeline anymore

I don't follow football, but the denial and salt by the Pat fans is hilarious.

Patriot fans should direct their anger at this man:

He is responsible for this and I for one hope the entire Pats organization gets revenge on him and his team

That'd require them to accept that the team they worship cheated.

On Page 12 of the decision, NFL says that Brady didn't destroy the previous cell phone he had.

So Brady didn't destroy his prior phone, just the one the NFL wanted...

BB threw Brady under the boss, it was amazing.

Destroying your cell phone is a pretty extreme reaction unless there was something on there you really didn't want people to see. It's possible he might have some drug deals down in South America but barring that...

My favorite part of the penalties is fining a team ONE million dollars just for the same entities to suspend a player 4 games, saving the team almost ~$1.8M

If they wanted to fine them $1M then they should've fined them $2.8M!

Pats fans of GAF:

Brady did this. Serious question. Why are you mad at the NFL and not brady?

If your QB gets pulled over for being coked up with a handle of fireball in his stomach and a stripper in the truck, do you get mad at the cop who pulled him over?

Because just like A-Rod suspension, this is just the commissioner playing along with the media circus, and not actually handling the situation in a fair manner. basically Brady is just an scapegoat for the NFL to try to look good in the public eye after every other dumb decision that happened before.

as someone who isn't a Pats fan it's not that he did it, it's that the punishment is hilariously stupid. give out a fine and be done with it. it's obvious the NFL didn't give a single fuck about the weight of the footballs or else it wouldn't have happened in the first place. the recent rule changes regarding the process is evidence to that fact.

also lol at comparing a deflated football to driving under the influence of alcohol and cocaine with a stripper in the back

one of those things is completely trivial and I'll leave you to wager which one that is

after the season that the NFL as an organization just had and Goodell's history I'm not sure why so many are cheering them on for this. people let their hate for the Pats get the best of them and I say that as someone who's team (Panthers) had their only superbowl appearance ruined by them.

If you're a celebrity and you get a new phone, you should probably destroy the old one.

The rules are different.

He didn't destroy his previous phone, just this one:

He's not being punished the 4 games for deflating the balls he's being punished the 4 games because he actively hindered the attempted investigation.

What we all suspected is true. Brady is a cheater. Legacy tarnished. Forever tainted.

Yup, it's like Billy C. The punishment was for lying under oath.

You can't simultaneously argue he wouldn't have destroyed his phone for privacy concerns and that he definitely destroyed it to hide evidence he ordered or knew of the deflating of footballs.
