Tom Warren on Twitter: Xbox showcase & Starfield Direct will be 2 hours long. 'Probably'90 minutes for Xbox/ 30 minutes for Starfield

Im not sure ill be able to sit through a 2 hour briefing, it seems the more time isnt really used to show more games but rather show off games longer (like a ten minute demo instead of 10 one minute reveals)

Don't like the concept.
Give Starfield its own major day (or at least morning/evening), and let the reveals have their earned buzz moments too.

(Plus we've already seen Starfield and talked about its play systems a ton. So it seems self-defeating to run out fully 30 minutes reintroducing Starfield and going deep on minutia when huge swaths of people might ditch to go talk about the great reveals if they're big and impressive enough. Or if Starfield is so amazing now that it's been polished, you kind of have to re-reveal some of the the reveals a bit because they'd be swept under by Starfield mania.)

Two hours is the sweet spot, not too short and not too long.

It really isn't, even one hour is a bit too much, should be like 45 mins + 15 of Starfield if they want to have at least some people watch the whole thing

Some streamers on twitch like to watch those showcases with chat but they won't sacrifice 2 hours. MS also proved in the past that they have no idea how to plan them, always a lot of long cringe talking.

It's pushing it but if the content is there it'd be good value. If it's filled with ads or other talking filler then I'd definitely agree with you.

Better not be like their usual showcase where they show a bunch of dogshit and five minutes of good shit. It's time to either show the goods, or just go the fuck away.

Show me Avowed. Show me Fable. Show me Perfect Dark. Show me some Gears.

It will be cool to see how far Starfield is coming along. But you got to have some sides to go along with the main course

timing-wise. they should have a lot of BIG games to show (gameplay no CGI)

Don't own an xbox or pc but I'm excited nonetheless. I've always been curious about Starfield. Hopefully they show a smoother gameplay and some biome exploration rather than just combat.

This is going to be so good. 90 mins for for the showcase and 30 mins for Starfield is perfect, MS has got the pacing down to perfection so these shows are going to be packed with good shit.

And of course people who don't like Xbox and want them to announce as little as possible think it's too long lol.

My body is ready. Show something that will actually launch soon. Tired of these announcements like Perfect Dark, Avowed, Fable, etc and it's a fucking ghost

Being more than a little excited for this would be a mistake given most of the last eight hundred Xbox shows I've watched.

There's been some good stuff sometimes at Xbox shows, but hardly anything to get crazy excited about.

2 hours is a perfect amount of time.

Right there with you mate. Come on Xbox bring some big games, and by that I mean actual gameplay. I'll also take Halo battle royale being shown for $1,500.

Sounds perfect! Hopefully they do the same thing they did last year and only focus on the next 12 months. I don't want to see bullshot CGI trailers of something 3-5 years in the future.

We know all bout Starfield.
It is Todds Bathesda.

Big, non reactive, save, poorly written, buggy linear mess based on the worse piece of technology possible where you as a player chasing what this game could've been hypnotized by the illusion of the single glimpse of brilliance somewhere far beyond the horison for 200 hours

Am i missing something? What else is there to show? Just put 30s trailer to advertise bad framerate n be done with it

Great news,a whole load more games that will probably come out one day......and to think there was a time I used to get excited about these sort of things, lol. Not ragging on Xbox here, just my own current mind frame around gaming.....it may be valid or you may think it's a bit unfair.

90 minutes is stretching it personally,

30 minutes of starfield
15-20 minutes indie
25-30 minutes first party and publishing
Remaining time (10-20 minutes) is other publishers
