Tenchi Muyo! GXP: Episode 16, Homecoming

This was another episode where nothing really happens besides the beginning of the episode. All it was was another fellate Seda episode, but this time they went back to earth

So, we start off with them heading towards earth for their day off. Ryuko and Amane are both wearing new dresses (Ryuko's dress is the one she wore last episode and no one seems to remember it) that make them look really silly. And they are fawning at themselves in the hopes of impressing Seda's parents.

They then get a distress signal from another space ship that says they need help, so they go to that

They find a small child in the space ship who was the only survivor. They all go to sleep while seeking help for this kid, except for Kiriko who was still flying the ship. The kid walks up to Kiriko and flashes red eyes.

We then meet up with that weird pirate dude who had a stand. Dio in space actually sent that kid as a trap, and it's actually a biorobot? anyway they capture the spaceship and and capture every person on the ship. Things are looking bad for the crew when Dio in Space takes out a knife and stabs Seda. Although it turns out this was a hologram! Im just going to ignore all the inconsistencies, like the fact they scanned these holograms, the fact that no one touched these holograms, and the fact that the initial medical scanners didn't realize that this kid was a robot. This show doesn't try, and I shouldnt justify my brain to worrying about such things.

The spaceship starts firing inside the pirates space ship and literally completely destroy it, so there goes the main antagonist of the show. Now there's literally no motivation for the story o try and tell a story, so it's probably going to go full on slice of life

During this time, the perv robot escaped because he saw how many porn sites are on the internet, and heads off to earth by himself. We see Seda's sister wishing upon a star for a cute boyfriends, only to find perv robot who had crash landed in a rice field

Anyway, the gang head to earth. We find out that Seda has been giving money to his parents because he's apparently loaded now (and space currency = yen apparently) and their house gets much bigger. The parents all talk about how unlucky seda is and how they are surprised that these women love him so much, and that's literally the entire episode. Them getting drunk and talking about Seda. Also Neju comes here for some reason

This was more sad than it was infuriating. We have 10 episodes left and there's literally no plot motivation. Im sad

Is that new Trigger show crap like every other Trigger show?

It's a harmless comedy. I just like Imaishi's animation style and it's an outlet for more.

I'm not going to spoil anything about One Piece coming up but its some of the most prevalent Nami fanservice in the entire series the next 20 episodes or so. This is probably overall the most fanservice the show ever gets, or at the least the most since Alabasta.

I'm okay with this. We're in full comedy mode right now anyway. This isn't SAO where they force fan service into what's supposed to be serous drama.

Nah, it's not weird. I agree with it. Fanservice has its place, but don't just throw it around all willy-nilly and make the tone inconsistent.
Exactly. I actually remember watching Bento, a silly fighting anime about getting discount lunches, & they were trying to use fanservice on this female who I just did not like at all & I recall it was one of the first times I was actually like "no, ya know what? It's not gonna work. I'm not turned on." & this was coming from around the same time I'd watch freakin' Seikon no Qwaser.

But anyways, if my computer could stop acting weird with the internet (I already had to spend about $50 on a new battery), I'll give MHA a watch. Although part of me wonders if I should just wait in case we get another Dimension W situation.

How should we know, all the first episode did was "OMG MY DAD GOT FROZEN, NOW INFERNO GURREN LAGANN COP MADE ME A SPACE PATROL, NOW I CAN TURN INTO A GUN IN THE MIDDLE OF CLASS HOW EMBARRASSING"

I'm on board especially since it's only around 6 to 7 minutes long compared to Ninja Slayer which was double the length.

It's a harmless comedy. I just like Imaishi's animation style and it's an outlet for more.

I thought the conversation was about Kiznaiver?

There will never be an anime more mainstream in the US than Dragonball. That Wrestlemania stunt is just example #1235321335 of that fact

What the hell is Kiznaiver.

Trigger's newest anime is Space Patrol Luluco which just aired like yesterday or so.

They have two shows this season. Space Patrol Luluco AND Kiznaiver.

Oh, it's action sci-fi & co-produced by Aniplex.

..............so that's gonna be Aniplex's next show on Toonami, right?

Tenchi Muyo! GXP: Episode 17, Getting Reacquainted

This was a a crossover episode, nothing at all happened and I had no clue who any of these characters were, other then the fact that Seda is literally a Tenchi clone

Anyway, we also find out that the ladies in this show also dont have nipples, which makes those scenes with the towels they wore in bath houses seem pretty silly

Also, this show might break the record for most bath house fanservice ever

I didn't really mind this episode all that much, dont get me wrong it was stupid, but the confusion over characters I have no knowledge of was way better then confusion over this shows terribleness

Jarate, I beg of you: do not watch the next episode. Don't do it. Seriously, we're warning you. This isn't a joke.

My internet is saving me from this terribleness

I made it through some shit in my life. In terms of media, this is at least better then Manos the Hands of Fate, it's got that going for it at least

This is the moment where we're all holding Jarate's hand, trying to keep him from falling, but he lets go.

Jarate don't let go! BibleThump

Say that after you finish it, there's still dark depths you have yet to encounter.

Dont listen to this, Jarate. Please watch the next episode.

You really are the worst pokemon :lol

I wish I had more to contribute to the GXP conversations. Sadly I don't remember much of it besides it being, well, bad. That said, Jarate meltdown will be glorious.

Guys, who decides man's place on earth? I mean, if we push Jarate to keep watching GXP, are we just telling ourselves we're superior to animals? Pollution is a big deal, but GXP is pollution of the mind. If we tell Jarate is watch GXP, what does that say about us as a species?

*rambles some more*

We shouldn't push Jarate to watch GXP.

*leaves, comes back two minutes later*

Jarate, I'm sorry, but watch more GXP.

Tenchi Muyo! GXP: Episode 18, The Price of Fortune

I think you guys tricked me because, while certainly mediocre, it wasn't that bad

we get introduced to good luck pirates who are now the main antagonists, they adorn their fleet with good luck charms and have good luck!. Queen lady sends Seda to tackle them and they completely shit on their cereal

the good luck pirates need a new captain and so they choose pink haired snape, whose family has secured a large business partnership with these pirates producing good luck charms. Pink Haired snape ends up going on wacky adventures searching for stuff and ends up finding a giant urn that Pirate Lady #2 has had all her life

Seda and co go to a beach zone, and while there is fanservice, and this weird part where Ryuko is a mermaid, it was nothing really that disappointing

Ive been much angrier before, in fact, i even chuckled in this episode a single time!

Unless you guys mixed something up, was this supposed to be the episode that broke Toonami gaf? You guys are weak, and your bloodline is weak, and you wont survive the winter

can someone throw me the link to the reactions to this episode so I can confirm whether or not this was "the one"

There were far worse episodes, like the Neju intro episode was by far worse then this shit, or maybe im so broken nothing affects me anymore

So the chair that came with my apartment room is breaking. Both arm rests are just falling off. I can't lean back in it.

I think this is a sign that perhaps I should spend less time for my ass. Maybe go out and do stuff.

Or maybe I should just get some ducktape and fix it.
