1.) Ships having a consciousness was introduced as early as Skypeia
2.) We never did see what happened to it after it fell out of Franky's workshop place.
We never saw it move before but we did see it repair itself IIRC.

That's exactly what it is! Franky explained this a while back when Usopp told him about Skypiea.

We actually DID see what happened to it after it fell out of Franky's workshop. It was seen traveling toward Enies Lobby during the Rocketman mini-arc. It's just that it was played off as sort of a ghostly apparition.

No they didn't. That was in Skypeia and toonami started in the Davey Back Fight. Aka worst Arc ever.
