Contract could last for 5+ years hence Disney's decision to loop hole the series onto netflix instead of airing the final season (or whole series) on their channel. They may feel its not worth buying out the contract to air an old series for only 13 new episodes when they already have rebels coming soon

All these pics of snow make me glad I live in Los Angeles. The worst we've had was a light drizzle.
I actually liked some of the later episodes of Clone Wars. Plenty of the early episodes were really bad though.
Snow isn't all that bad, it's the ice that is. It doesn't help when people not remotely familiar with the white death try to drive in it.

I agree.
I don't mind the early episodes. I'm remiss to say I LIKE all of them, but there are some stand outs (Rookies mainly). The Clone Wars does a good job of humanizing the clones. I appreciate that they spent a good portion of time trying to reinforce the notion that the clones aren't just expendable. The clones get down on themselves because even they realize/think they are cannon fodder, while the other characters try to treat them otherwise. Ahsoka is really the only character I consistently hate. I do not like her in any capacity.
In later seasons though, not only is the action, writing and characters better (I'm looking at you Cad Bane), but Ahsoka doesn't talk nearly as much. The 4th season especially has several terrific and quite honestly brutal episodes. The violence is definitely kicked up a notch. This is a case of a show that gets progressively better with time. I have purchased all of the seasons on blu-ray (with the exception of Season 5, the blu-ray that was put out was borked from what I heard) and it is a very nice looking show in HD.

I have Season 2 and 3 pre-ordered, but got blocked on Season 1. Rumor (no idea if it's accurate) is that people (don't want to say fan boys...but yeah) mass sent complaints to Amazon to pull it because they don't agree Funi's cropping decision...yet the vast majority of reviews on the page are positive and praising. Now the thing has been pulled and is under investigation.
Casshern Sins seem like it'd be worth it, but I'm debating on Akira as I already own two different copies of that movie already.

Thanks for that, was also able to realize my pre-order of ToS HD CE was still under my old debit card that got stolen so I was able to update that
Haha, having to choose between which cropping is "better" is a sad state.

Gonna probably rustle some jimmies with this comment, but their cropping really never bothered me a ton. From what I've seen in promos for the new sets, it is even less so than the orange boxes. It's all wins in my book.
Yep, they won for the episode "Rookies" I believe, which as I mentioned before, is a terrific episode. Watching from that episode onwards and the fact that you keep encountering those guys is great. You grow attached to them.

I have the Dragon Boxes which are completely uncropped. I really have no interest in buying the Blu-Rays, especially seeing as I think the Z anime hasn't aged too well after Namek. If I do get a HD version of the series, it'd be the Kai sets.

Why is everyone on the gaming side so hyped up for a Nintendo Direct? You'd think it was E3 season over there, aren't those things usually soul crushingly disappointing?
The ND last January was pure awesomeness. The length of this one makes me hope-full, it's supposed to be 40+ minutes long. We're getting some shit, plus there have been retweets from a lot of designers with big games coming up.

I've never had any trouble on the gaming side. People just need to be a bit more civil. It does tend to be a graveyard when certain topics come up.
I picked most of mine up as they released them months before Toonami aired the new stuff. That was like my monthly purchase from Wal-Mart for the longest time. I'll never go back to watch them again, but it'd be nice to see a Kai version of the entire arc.
