Well I'll be damned. Now it just has to be good, and then it better move to a weekday schedule!

If we're going to get Bleach, FMA:B, and Bebop (which is probably guaranteed at this point), then they should round things off with Gurren Lagann and a Moyashimon dub. I would cream.

A lot of the older animes I've never actually got around to watching, like Outlaw Star, so there's quite a few I'd be interested in. (yeah I know I could just find episodes on the internet, but this'd be more fun)

I'd like this:

Bleach
Cowboy Bebop
DBZ (not Kai. I can suffer through fillers, it's going day by day anyway. Dat Bruce Faulkoner)
Gurren Lagenn
Outlaw Star
FMA
Yu Yu Hakusho

Can there only be 6, though? Bah.

Sounds good to me, I've never actually watched Gurren Lagenn, Outlaw Star, and I've never finished Yu Yu or Bebop (sadly). I've been following Bleach too although it's stuck in filler right now.

Gurren Lagann, FMA, Planates, Bebop at the very least.

If they're going to use 'bitches' in their marketing, and given the April Fools attitude... I suspect they'll be going for a slightly older demographic. Specifically, a DVD/Blu-ray buying demographic.

Oh man. Anime revival in the west. I'm so hype.

It's cool and all but most people here probably already watch their anime on the computer. Can't see that changing. :/

oh?

Oh?

OH?

now, how the fuck, and i do mean how the fuck is that the same? no offence to you man. But because Toonami died, bastards like Crunchyroll lived.

We doing it again. Last HOPE BABY!

Yeah, only 3 hours.
Everything after 12 is the standard Saturday stuff.

I'm happy about this because there's so much I haven't seen. When I was younger I wasn't much of an anime fan, just DBZ and a little Gundam. Now I'm ready to take it all in. Let it happen.

I KNEW IT WOULD BE BACK. BECAUSE IT'D BE STUPID IF IT WASN'T.

We might know the three blank shows later since [as]'s upfront is tonight, and I don't see why they wouldn't tell us there since they already released their new planned pilots already.

And I don't expect the blanks to be all new shows or all old shows either (I imagine most of the English distributors would give a discount in licensing older series with a new series) and definitely not anything they already have normally besides maybe Big O season 1. I also think they're going to be rotating shows more often than not now since it seems they'll be repeating a three hour block now.

I think trigun is the most likely old show to come back, since they used footage in the bump on April Fools that wasn't in the episode they aired like in every other bump, and I seriously doubt DBZ would be back because of Kai airing on Nicktoons and Toonzai. I honestly have no idea what the new show will most likely be, although Tiger & Bunny and Panty & Stocking seem likely, although P&S would probably have to be censored or have a personal disclaimer or something.

EDIT: Also there won't be subbed episodes on it no matter how soon they'd air after airing in Japan since [as] has always been completely against airing subbed shows.

I would give a Toonami streaming service so much money

At the least give me a rokubox channel :<

line up: bleach, kenshin, gundam, dbz, outlaw star, bebop (would love to watch it on tv again), death note (always wanted to watch), and some random animes that get people into em (linebarrel is a good one)

No way will these lead to an anime revival if it's only Saturdays and playing shows that have been airing for a while.

Too true. For full Toonami effectiveness you need the weekday afternoon block and I don't really know what's long-running enough to fill those shoes. Fairy Tail? Soul Eater?

It needs to be weekdays. However, Toonami used to thrive when kids came home from school. It's summer now. Make it late night for the 20 somethings that come home and stay up late.
