....or ya know, Kagome could've taken the shards to her time period for safe keeping.

Also, now I can't help but wish we got an episode where someone ASIDE from Inuyasha visits the present day. Imagine Miroku discovering the concept of TINY MINI-SKIRTS.

Or Sango and Kagome have a ladies day and Sango winds up hiraikotsu'ing some pervert. These episodes write themselves.

Or shippo shows up only to get promptly hit by a train.

Everything had Naraku's poisonous insects. The thing was since Wind Tunnel would ultimately consume Miroku all the author had to say was that Wind Tunnel had x number of uses and Miroku would have more reason to be hesitant to use it unless it was an emergency instead of writing such a stupid work around. Oh well.

Yo Monk I herd you like poisons so we poisons your wind tunnels so you can be poisoned while you're wind tunneling.

Yeah, they should've done more present day episodes with the others. See how they would react.

The demons followed her home.

Man, that was wasted potential. I at least wanted to see Sango's experience in the modern world.

Demons show up wherever the shards are, present day included.

Yeah that's true.

To be fair, Inuyasha was never a show that seemed too concerned with the details, and perhaps viewers shouldn't be concerned with them either.

It's a show made for easy consumption. The title of the original work is called Inuyasha: A Feudal Fairy Tale after all.

Inuyasha will out live Kagome and if history repeats he's going to hook up with her future reincarnation.

Disgusting.

That did happen in the show.

Aaah, okay. It's been so long since I watched part of the original series (mainly to record them on VHS for my friend), I've forgotten some details.

Wasn't that the title of the PS1 game?

BatDan

Bane? Get them on board, I'll call it in.
So the latest chapter of Akame ga Kill (spoilers duh)
tells us the anime ending isn't what the author planned, despite what some speculated.

That was speculated? I always got the feeling that the studio wanted to bail out early lol. Didn't it sell pretty poorly?

The anime didn't sell well, but the show wasn't really given that big of a budget either. It was made to sell the manga.

I don't know if it lead to increased sales for the manga to be honest.

Once we're done with the anime, I kind of don't want to care anymore. I don't even want to read the manga because to be honest the whole story is stupid.

Beforehand I heard that this was hype because OMG so many deaths, now I can see why the anime was made only to help the manga which I dunno, is probably shit also.

"Wanna see the more HARDCORE, EDGIER VERSION WITH LESS CENSORSHIP?! READ THE MANGA!"

Oddly enough, even though the manga is more violent, it has less edge because deaths come and go so fast.

"Oh that character is gonna di-he's dea-oh we're moving on, okay."

Oh, he dead.

Goddamn, maybe that's why they went in a different direction. Whatever, I kind of want to see how it ends so I don't have to deal with this stupid story ever again, like Blue Exorcist.

JYB turning into the Devil lol, and their mother... Fucking hell, that was some brain damage, lolol

Crap, I helped spark pages of InuYasha talk but I can't read it for fear of spoilers. xD I'd best pick up the pace with this show. Up to the fifth episode now. Time to (re)meet Sesshomaru.

My friend went to a con dressed as ol' fluffy Sesshie back when we were 15. He wanted me to go as InuYasha, but I went as Cloud instead. No matter, we still did poses threatening one-another with swords. Damn, we geeks now, yo.

Hmm... I dunno if it's like DBZ spoilers where almost everyone watched it years ago that you don't have to worry about new viewers...

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

No, no, I think it's exactly like that, and I don't mean to suggest that I'm annoyed or anything! I do this to myself, seeing as I wait so long to watch certain things.

I didn't see DBZ until last year >_>;

Basically
Wave stops a fight between Akame and Kurome. Tells Kurome he loves her and will take her away. They both just leave the plot.

In the anime, Kurome is killed by Akame.
Sounds stupid.
How are you gonna take Akame's moment like that from her? It'd be like someone delivering the One Piece to Luffy out of the blue. If the One Piece is in fact a thing that can be delivered, that is. What im saying is that the mangaka fucked up and took away one of his main character's motivations for like no reason.

Belated reviews follow:

Dragon Ball Z: Kai - Goku has telepathy again because the plot demands it. I'm happy to see that the plan worked but Goku caring more about being a fighter than a father is dumb and reckless. If Frieza is going to die anyway, just leave the planet you dolt. Still, a typical hype episode. Rating: Should've used Google Translate

Akame ga Kill - Even with all the twists this week, I still can't get invested. It's just the terrible handling of tone. When the show tries to be serious, I usually laugh. When it tries to be funny I just cringe. What's worse, it switches between these two states *constantly* and for no good reason. I'm about the give up on AgK but I'm so far into it I kinda feel obligated to finish it. Even Leone's voice sounded off this week. Rating: On the chopping block

Parasyte - Another great episode. It's still my favorite show on the block however Champloo may soon win that spot. For as dumb as that girl was with the acid, she did at least survive and it did burn him so... good work I guess? On the other hand those two dudes who were pissing themselves should have listened to Shinichi. I also like how so many people are becoming aware of the parasytes now. Rating: Pitch Perfect

Samurai Champloo - A great first episode. The animation is (unsurprisingly) fantastic. The music is too. I already like these characters. Mugen is kind of a dick but I expect he'll soften up some. The other samurai is a total badass and I love how soft-spoken he is. But my favorite is Fuu. She's just so plucky. She had the best moments in this episode and made the best faces. She's also (thankfully) willing to get into sticky situations and help rather than just be a damsel. My only complaint would be that the "record-scratch" transitions were a tad overdone. Rating: PSYCHE! It's awesome.

Naruto: Shippuden - Aside from that one moment of slick animation and heartfelt storytelling under the tree, the rest of this episode was utterly abysmal. I hate those frogs with every ounce of my being. Their dumb voices are like fingernails on a chalkboard. They aren't funny. They're just stupid. Rating: Pain

One Piece - I liked when the Sunny transformed into having paddles. That really is pretty cool. Very "Mach 5". These secondary villains are indeed bland but I'm still not hating this and we've not actually see the true villains yet. The animation and pacing also seems better than usual, probably because it's filler and they have license to do what they want rather than match the manga 100%. It's not terrible but it's not great either. Rating: Puzzling

KLL la KILL - Yeah, nobody cares about Inomuta so thankfully he's out of the episode by the commercial break and it's in with the Nonon! A really fun and funny episode. Next episode: A new challenger appears! Rating: Sweet Sweet Screams

The most perplexing thing about it is that the author decided to name the manga after her.

At the very least, I'll say this.

Akame hasn't fall in love with generic main lead yet. Leone flirts with him, but mostly in a teasing way.

Funny enough, a previous chapter in the manga did the title drop which applied to both Tatsumi and Akame.

I am glad about that. Just because you have a male MC and female MC doesn't mean you are obligated to pair them together just because.

There aren't enough episodes that play the track "Mystline" and the ones that do only play the beginning of the song and not the middle part.

Oddly enough, even though the manga is more violent, it has less edge because deaths come and go so fast.

"Oh that character is gonna di-he's dea-oh we're moving on, okay."

That actually sounds better tbh. Like if you want to be a brutal show/game/etc. and kill off your characters, don't make it some big, heartfelt emotional moment every time someone of some kind of importance dies.

Or
the mangaka changed their mind after seeing the anime ending/hearing the reaction to it, or wave and kurome will come back in the finale and one/both will die or esdeath will find and kill them herself before the finale
