I'm joking, because I actually agree with Imperial for the most part. I just don't really get excited about anything set in the Mushroom Kingdom. Should I let that affect whether I play it? No, but it doesn't make me eager to spend money and try it. I dunno, as superficial as it seems, an identical game with a different coat of paint would certainly be more interesting. It's not great justification but when I'm trying to explain (to myself) why I'm reluctant go out and buy 3D World right now to play on my dusty Wii U, despite the praise the game gets, that's what I'm able to come up with.

Instead of outgrown which sounds obnoxious and about age or some sense of superiority I typically say i am no longer in a place where I enjoy said games. such as I am no longer in a place where I enjoy games that are shooters , sports games or that have cishet white men as main characters often anymore, likewise for open world games at the moment.

There's just not much software that interests me at this point. I'd say Wind Waker HD and Mario Kart are the most appealing games.

I honestly don't understand what it even means to "outgrow" an IP like Mario. It's never been a children's IP but rather an all ages IP and the gameplay is as solid now as it has ever been in the 30+ years of the IP. Like I understand if Mario games or platformers were never one's jam and I certainly respect different preferences but I've never heard someone say they've outgrown an all ages IP not actually mean "herp derp I'm too cool for that stuff now that I've turned 18 derp". Y'all know you post in a thread dedicated to cartoons right? :p

Platformers definitely aren't for me. Mario Galaxy kinda bored me. Nothing against the game, just not my thing.

The best part was him stating how this job , a 60-70k one with paid overtime, was "table scraps" compared to being run all over and disrespected . It's to be reminded this thread is about being made to wait 45 minutes. Meanwhile there are people who have taken a job making far less after facing racism, sexism, homophobia etc in an interview or interview process but you see those people are just chumps and love Corporate 'merica (TM).

Nothing in that post implies locking up people who think it's okay to masturbate to images of children. Aquamarine makes the point that all that weird cartoon loli porn is a necessary evil and prevents some predators from acting on their urges, which I agree with, and notes that these are sick individuals who view this stuff, which I also agree with.

I'm definitely of the opinion that all disgusting pedophiles should be locked up far, FAR away from children, or get lots of help if they haven't exploited anyone yet. Unfortunately, there are still WAY too many of them out there for law enforcement to catch or detect.

Now I wouldn't go as far as to say lock up anyone caught masturbating to images of children, but I'm certainly on the fence. On one hand I don't think the state should be telling you what you can or cannot jerk off to in the privacy of your own home but kids are a big no-no, people are rightfully touchy about that. Really, I think there's something mentally wrong with people who get off to those images, it isn't normal behavior. I'd advocate help for non-violent offenders.

See, I have no problems giving those people rehabilitation. Possession of CP is still exploiting a child. She was advocating persecuting people who don't even go that far.
