It's weird....if the Shikon Jewel was evil the whole time, what's with all the corrupted/purified nonsense with it?

It was revealed a loooooong time ago what the shikon jewel is. It was created when a powerful priestess fought a powerful demon made of many demons and she sealed them with her own spirit. Thus she was locked in a never-ending battle with the demons inside the jewel. So the jewel could be good or evil depending on who is winning the fight, and that is influenced by the heart of the one in possession of the jewel. So Naraku was evil and by him possessing the jewel the demons inside it took control and ennacted a plan.
