I'll be even more satisfied when Genndy gets another series to do.

Watched the last 2 weeks of HxH.

Yay Phantom Troupe VA casting is all excellent, we get ANOTHER new Killua outfit debut (my least favorite in the series tbh), and long periods of time spent using the internet and auction sites, which is exactly what I want from my Action Shounen series!

Also Kurapika should've had 3 different outfits by now - there was a different one for the Zoldyck Family arc which the 2011 anime left out but it's no biggie

Just soo weird Toonami is losing One Piece, this is a show that dates back to 2005 for Toonami. What was the official reason given that they are cutting it?

I'm hoping he finishes Sym Bionic Titan after this, we need all of Genndy's old series's to have closure first before he moves on to something else.

I think when I got up to ep 40 I was wondering why Killua was dressed up like Dante. Shit's hilarious, he has the best fashion sense out of the whole cast unlike Leorio with his cheap looking suit.

Demarco's short answer on Twitter was ratings. Probably wanted to pay less for OP based on performance and that didn't happen, so the choice was made.

As he also noted, DBZ and Naruto have big nostalgic fanbases and One Piece does not (Thanks 4Kids!) with most OP fans watching new episodes.

I'd be more upset, but this is 2017, and I can still watch the show through other means. And they did give it FOUR years! I can't believe we've been watching OP on Toonami for that long, jeez.

Yeah, I figured as much regrading OP and they gave it a good run before it got cut. Toei upping the price could have happened too and they didn't want the show at the price for what ratings it got. I glad that we have another slot where we can put shorter run series since we have the Dragon Ball shows, Naruto Shippuden, and Hunter x Hunter already. Just sucks that OP had to get cut.

I wonder if they'll keep Samurai Jack's slot after the season is over or not for another show possibly.

I remember when I used to go to Hot Topic a lot and I got a Naruto Konoha Headband and my brother got a Sand Headband. Saw some Bleach stuff too so I'm not shocked HxH merch is there. It's still a pretty popular show here and Viz probably provides stuff for Hot Topic. Been a long time since I've been in a Hot Topic, not since late high school/early college...

They'll probably drop the Samurai Jack slot again, but I could see them inserting a major premier between Super and Kai, moving Super forward. Kinda doubt it, though.

That's what I'm suspecting... The only way that slot is kept is if there is some kind of big premiere show that is added to the lineup is what I'm thinking as well.

Killua is fashionable and cool. Unlike his brother, he clearly leaves the house all the time and traveled the world, has a ton of money, and as you can tell by the fact that he spent hundreds of millions in winnings on Candy years ago, is still a child who gets distracted by shiny things and will buy anything that catches his eye.

Meanwhile, Gon basically grew up with wild animals on a small isolated island, and thus owns one pair of pants and one jacket

in his spare time. I think Illumi knew Killua was the future of the family and spent all of his time grooming/protecting/mentally torturing him. I don't think Illumi cares for Milluki.

I think Mob's more likely since they gotta already have it, and it's been demanded so much. And it's short so they can go back to Jojo and have that SDC dub premier.

Also apparently, Demarco once said that AoT was really expensive? And that's why they had to put it in the rerun slot for so long. So if AoT S2 is the same way, we might not see it until after GitS ends?

Not to mention My Hero Academia's going to be super in-demand after S2 starts, future show-wise.

I'd say Mob is the most likely next new show out of the possibilities like you said. Attack on Titan will take a moment since S2 hasn't even come out in Japan yet, right? I believe it starts on April 1st along with My Hero Academia's next season.

Unless they can talk Funimation into a Space Dandy or a Dimension W situation... :p

Not even a chance of that happening since those are not mega popular shows when they were coming and not as well-known qualities as AoT was. A deal like Space Dandy with AoT S2 is a pipe dream since we already know AoT was expensive to get originally. Can't imagine how much a simulcast would cost and I definitely don't think that's feasible at all. People, at least, knew about Titan through the manga unlike Space Dandy. I don't know if Dimension W had some source material like a manga or not before release.

Studio WIT is going to have an incredibly busy year, to the point where I kinda hope we don't have any simuldubs from them, because there's a chance the production could just collapse.
