every generation ever has had its own words for saying "cool", it's not that weird

weird... not really.
stupid... very.

though the stupidest phrase by far is still
"the shit"

I basically feel the urge to block and never talk to anyone that ever uses that phrase.

next closest is calling pizza, za.

Supposedly 1am tomorrow is when the votes will be tallied up.

1 am ET is when the absolute last polls in the country close, in the Aleutian Islands in Alaska. The result of the election will (most likely) be known by then.

The election will almost certainly be called around or shortly after 11 pm ET when the west coast polls close, unless there are an unusually high number of too close to call states, including Pennsylvania and Virginia.

Election being called at 11 only happens in the case of a landslide.

That's not true at all. Only extremely tight elections take significantly longer than that. Most of the elections over the past 30 years or so have been called between 11 and 11:30. Landslides get called even earlier. Reagan's landslide got called at like 8 pm.

If Hillary has clearly won Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Virginia by the time the west coast comes in, it won't matter what the other swing states are doing, and the race will be called. If any of those are up in the air at that time, it won't be called (and we could be in for a very long night).

Media has become rather gun shy since the 90s.

Aren't all of them lower than last week? I'd assume people were too busy with elections and/or getting extra DST sleep

Hopefully that last episode of Jojo worked to convince people of the show's merit like it did me.

I enjoyed the first two episodes but that one was just Be-You-Te-Full!

Those Jojo ratings are a bit concerning yes.

That's basically 1 million flat and a .5 in-demo rating. Those numbers are fine.

The movie's .25 rating is a bit of a dud, but that's also essentially a throwaway timeslot, and it's important to remember that it represents the average viewership across 2 and a half hours in the dead of the night.

plus DeMarco seemed to act like they didn't particularly expect it to do well or even need it to do well since it was so cheap

(also i was kidding about Jojo since it's just the third episode coming off a marathon if that wasn't clear though i am slightly concerned)

Well I voted. Wasn't painful. Took around 5 minutes.

Also I decided to rewatch Casshern Sins. Look forward to my thoughts on the series.

I could see that happening if it's a big/newer show like Mob Psycho 100.

As long as it isn't getting pushed back or reaches low enough ratings that makes DeMarco feel like Part 3 isn't worth airing, despite it being more popular among the US crowd.

For some reason, despite staying far away from politics, something is making me fear the fact that Trump might win & what it might mean...

....it doesn't help my oldest/best friend & some co-workers seem to support him, but knowing how heated politics makes people, I feel it's smarter for me to just keep quiet instead of risking the chance of a heated argument that'll go nowhere.

& to think, we could've had a huge moment in history where back to back, he elected a black person, then a woman. Two huge moments in US history in a row...
