as a minority I'm fucking disgusted with this country right now
I feel disgusted and I'm white as hell. Deplorables all over the place. In fact I don't know if I've ever felt worse in my life.

"IF" HE STARTS HARMING DISENFRANCHISED AMERICANS AND PEOPLE START TALKING SHIT TOWARDS THEM...I SWEAR...For some reason, despite staying far away from politics, something is making me fear the fact that Trump might win & what it might mean...
....it doesn't help my oldest/best friend & some co-workers seem to support him, but knowing how heated politics makes people, I feel it's smarter for me to just keep quiet instead of risking the chance of a heated argument that'll go nowhere.
& to think, we could've had a huge moment in history where back to back, he elected a black person, then a woman. Two huge moments in US history in a row...
It's not over. But I will say this:
As an African American woman, I am so so disappointed. I know this country still hated me and the rest of us minorities, but I didn't realize that it was this widespread. Trump should have never gotten this far. I'm so disappointed tonight. It has less to do about the presidency, and almost everything to do about knowing how the general white America feels when he/she looks at me and a very large portion of the country. Disgraceful. Whether Clinton wins or not, very real learning experience this has been.
I take the smallest in consolations that most all the people I like, respect, and trust are rightfully worried or upset right now - people who I had no idea what their political leanings were.
Turns out the people who I found as kind, caring, compassionate, or smart aren't too thrilled at the results, who would've thought.
(I'm saying you all are good people)

In news that doesn't make you want to curl up into a ball, Demarco went to an owl cafe.
I don't think the sandwich made you puke. The best you can hope for is that very little actually gets done in four years, and the DNC comes back stronger than ever. Hopefully with a candidate that isn't super unpopular (which I think was the biggest mistake).
Right now, I'm a shivering mess, but I'm not sure if that's from the outcome, or from a sandwich I had last night that made me puke.

I don't live in the US, but this is the first election that I'd take "move to Canada" as a serious plan over a joke.
Hope it works out for you guys. :\
