For some reason, despite staying far away from politics, something is making me fear the fact that Trump might win & what it might mean...

....it doesn't help my oldest/best friend & some co-workers seem to support him, but knowing how heated politics makes people, I feel it's smarter for me to just keep quiet instead of risking the chance of a heated argument that'll go nowhere.

& to think, we could've had a huge moment in history where back to back, he elected a black person, then a woman. Two huge moments in US history in a row...
"IF" HE STARTS HARMING DISENFRANCHISED AMERICANS AND PEOPLE START TALKING SHIT TOWARDS THEM...I SWEAR...

Toonami-gaf, I know things are scary right now. This night is gonna suck.

But everyone here is gonna be okay.

Because you're good people.

...This does NOT bode well.

Somebody like Donald Motherfucking Trump is THIS close to getting to the White House. With the House and Senate.

What a nightmare.

if there are any non americans here willing to help someone move out of america just let me know... I need to get the hell out of this country.

My mother was literally praying in the other room.

Me and my little sister are fucking terrified right now. All of Colbert's Trump jokes didn't prepare me for election day as well as I thought it would.

This shit is scary.

It's not over. But I will say this:

As an African American woman, I am so so disappointed. I know this country still hated me and the rest of us minorities, but I didn't realize that it was this widespread. Trump should have never gotten this far. I'm so disappointed tonight. It has less to do about the presidency, and almost everything to do about knowing how the general white America feels when he/she looks at me and a very large portion of the country. Disgraceful. Whether Clinton wins or not, very real learning experience this has been.

:(

I take the smallest in consolations that most all the people I like, respect, and trust are rightfully worried or upset right now - people who I had no idea what their political leanings were.

Turns out the people who I found as kind, caring, compassionate, or smart aren't too thrilled at the results, who would've thought.

(I'm saying you all are good people)

*Bashfully kicks the ground*

Gives all the fucks
I think for now on, I should be a little more involved with politics to ensure something like this doesn't happen again....hopefully....

And some people said that Gundam politics cause them to not pay attention just like real life politics cause them to turn a blind eye.

I'm sorry, but that is just a weak excuse.

I don't live in the US, but this is the first election that I'd take "move to Canada" as a serious plan over a joke.

Hope it works out for you guys. :\

Bane? Get them on board, I'll call it in.
The best you can hope for is that very little actually gets done in four years, and the DNC comes back stronger than ever. Hopefully with a candidate that isn't super unpopular (which I think was the biggest mistake).

Right now, I'm a shivering mess, but I'm not sure if that's from the outcome, or from a sandwich I had last night that made me puke.

I don't think the sandwich made you puke.

as someone who has been researching how to leave most of the night..

turns out most countries only want you if you are the rich 1% that will actually benefit from the trump presidency. (you need 10 million to qualify for an investor visa in canada... only 200,000k for switzerland though)

or if you have a successful business you can bring with you (canada wants you to make 40k a year regularly and continue to do so in canada)

or if you have a special set of skills that would net you a high paying job anyways.
