I liked it and don't quite understand the hate towards it. Certainly not bad as some of the garbage anime out now.

It's very, very plodding.

Pretty to look at, but really slow and depressing with not much in the way of enjoyable characters.

I love it, but others hate it. It all depends on how you respond to the bleak apocalyptic setting and depressing tone. It's juxtaposed with dramatic flare and Mega Man-esque characters.

15 or 16 I think but the first arc lasts for like 9 or 10 episodes so you could stop after that if you want. You are in for a great either way

It's 16, but the story ends in episode 13 and the last three are just a bloated and unnecessary epilogue. IMO; I didn't like Baccano! quite as much as most of GAF. It's still very much worth checking out in either dub or sub, though.
