It is slow, but I don't think it sucks. I really enjoyed it. Has good character development and kickass music. I recommend it, especially since it's just 30 minutes once a week.

It doesn't suck at all. The first few episodes aren't really "slow" either... its just that it has really steep contrasts compared to the other parts of the series.

Its very good. Its just long. And its not like GiTS where every single episode is awesome regardless.

Some of the animation though is fucking amazing.

Yeah. Episodes 1-3 are a pretty great opening arc, then it gets kinda slow for about 10 episodes as it slooooooowly builds its characters and world, and then ramps up and becomes pretty awesome in the 20s.

It's slow at first and they throw a lot of concepts at you without explaining them but I think after the first WTF episode it'll start to pick up
