I think Baccano! (while fantastic) already aired on Syfy, dunno if they still have the rights.
It didn't.

Marketing juggernauts? Let's get moe on this shit.
...Deadman Wonderland is fucking awful (and imo, dangerously close to being the seinen version of torture porn). I'd rather they replace it with something that doesn't suck.
I think virtually everyone with a passing interest in anime has seen that by now. It was one of the highest praised anime for several years after it came out and it aired on TechTV's anime block. I'd much rather see Texhnolyze on Toonami.I want Lain to be on Toonami. I would love to see how some of you react to that show.
I do hope classic anime is given another shot on Toonami. It's a real shame the ratings MS Gundam got. Some more '80s anime would be pleasant to watch. Patlabor (TV) would be a joyous occasion and a great diversion from the rest of the line-up.
It's sweet that Cowboy Bebop is showing again, but alot of these shows just...suck

Lucky Star alone has over 40 additional albums in a successful merchandising empire of kawaii and desu.
Panty and Stocking would be awesome.
+ put on Sailor Moon and DBZ or DBZ Kai.
I thought it had never stopped showing.
Still think they should run a block of Sengoku Basara/Gurren Lagann. Manliest fucking block ever assuming you only count shows from the last five years.
The stars that would have to align to make Sailor Moon possible would be unreal.
They need to reclaim licensing rights to MSG. A real bummer that 9/11 essentially destroyed the show's chances.I think virtually everyone with a passing interest in anime has seen that by now. Haven't seen Lain yet, though that's because I've only just gotten back into anime.

I did mention American audience, and please don't make me post more of these.

I want to see more Lupin dubs, personally.
American audiences? Son, what you want is even more mon franchises.
Do they even make those anymore?
If the ratings were that bad, then I guess it's going to be risky right-now. Oh well. Maybe they could show-off Garzey's Wing instead. Tons of ratings there. From what we've heard, MSG was already a failure on CN before that. It was a stipulation Bandai Japan forced on Bandai Entertainment to get on TV.

Didn't have cable until recently do they show American stuff like Batman and Batman Beyond?
The main problem is there's no way DC wants to air a new property at 12 PM. Justice League was great for the Saturday Entertainment System and later Toonami because they could air it anywhere from 8 to 10 PM at the latest.Justice League/Unlimited was shown in the later Toonami years.
Why should it? It was never about being all-anime, why start now? There are good American shows than can be put at those timeslots (Still waiting for my Superjail/Deadman Wonderland combo hour), it's just tricky.I do think this new Toonami should be focused on anime. The entire rest of the channel can air the American stuff. With SyFy axing their anime block and Funimation Channel being a non-starter for most people, trying to get any kind of anime fix through TV is pretty much limited to just Toonami right now. And since Toonami has only three hours a week to itself anyways, it should stay focused on anime IMO.

The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest, Superfriends, Reboot, New Adventures of He-Man...Superjail is absolutely not the type of show suited to Toonami, and most American shows aren't. I'd say, put half the DC Nation stuff there but DC Nation is its own block (as it should be, the entire point of special "blocks" like DC Nation and Toonami is putting like-shows together in order to make it more convenient for viewers to keep watching.)
As for "it was never all about anime," true, but it was what defined Toonami especially under TOM. And the most memorable American shows on Toonami when it was a three hour block on Saturday before were: Teen Titans, Megas XLR, Justice League Unlimited, and IGPX.
Respectively: a show with a large anime influence, a mecha show (mecha being a genre almost exclusive to Japan), a superhero show, and a Japanese-animated collaboration. If you can find any non-DC Nation shows on Cartoon Network that fit that criteria, I'd say, by all means, it should be considered for Toonami.
But considering the pickings are already slim, and anime has almost completely died out on television, I say, let Toonami have three hours to itself to only air anime. There won't be anything like it on any other station, and it plays to Toonami's historical strengths.
If Superjail doesn't fit that block, nothing will. Hell, I'd recommend Metalocalypse but they're doing great on Sundays. And why do they have to be made recently? People are suggesting anime from early 2000s here. Now provide shows that are made recently and fit the new Toonami (TOM says bitches, airing shows like Deadman Wonderland).
Of course, if someone WAS to make a good US adult action cartoon, I'd be very happy, but I'm not seeing it happen.
The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest, Superfriends, Reboot, New Adventures of He-Man...
EDIT: As for the Superjail issue, you need to get inventive here. It's not about fitting the block per se, but it's about fitting the demo. Superjail has been fitting the demo for quite awhile now on Sundays, and I never saw people complaining about Futurama when the repeats routinely pulled in 500K-600K of the 18-49 and gave FMA/Inuyasha a nice fat lead-in. In reality, we don't know what they're trying to do with Toonami here. If they are trying to be a new entity, it doesn't hurt to add the show. If they're trying to go back to "building you a better cartoon show", you don't focus on one type of animation for the Hell of it.
Not Case Closed?I kind of wish Durarara still aired. That was probably my favorite shoe on AS. It just had a different vibe to it than most animes.
Edit: And damn the DVDs are expensive!
Might as well just add My Little Pony, Milk-chan, and 12 Oz. Mouse to the lineup and be done with it.
