The Bleach anime's pacing problems are DIRECTLY caused by the fact that the manga has massive pacing problems. I've seen Bleach manga chapters that could equate to about 2 minutes of animation or less. Kubo is a MASTER of wasting page space.

I remember when I read bleach manga, best chapter was the one where I stopped reading it and decided not to hate myself so much .

Part II Naruto is basically "the actual plot." Part I is essentially just the prologue. It is, of course, chock full of asspulls, retcons, and other such bullshit, but it also has some good stuff. YMMV.
