If you haven't watched End of Evangelion the pic won't make as much sense.
The Rebuild series starts with repercussions from the end of EoE. That and in the post-credits with Kaworu saying he'll make "Shinji happy this time" it's implying that the Rebuild actually takes place after EoE and is part of a new world cycle or something similar.
Just speculation for now though.

Depends on how you read it. You could either read it as repeated imagery that Anno likes to use in order to reinforce his points or just because he likes the look or you could read into sequel theory. Like I said, I wouldn't get your hopes up. This seems primed to have Anno just smash it to pieces and enjoy it.

Since 2.22 aired with post-credits scene and all this should be posted.
So... What am I looking at here?
I'm assuming confirmation that 2.22 takes place directly (either in timeline or immediately post a humanity wide memory/universe reset) after End of Eva with everyone assuming certain things were always that way (the red seas) a la Chrono Trigger's NPCs towards the Black Omen? And the scene with the Lilith is Kawano being all "oh, it's happening again"?

Honestly hot house is a far better troll then School Days, for someone who hates harem anime it was fantastic to see everyone get what was coming to them

I watched blood-C and i liked saya's redesign but it pretty much has no relation to the previous series, which was a big disappointment to me, I like all the gore porn and animation but i was still disappointed otherwise

I guess I'll explain my anti-sequel theory here right now. Basically, Rebuild is way more mean spirited in terms of its meta commentary than the other Evas. It also makes less plot sense. I don't believe the sequel theory is intended and if it is, Anno is just playing with fans so he can cut the ground from underneath their feet. We'll see, but it sure seems like something he'd do. Sequel theory seems too easy right now and I'll be disappointed if he takes that out.

When I said one chapter I meant like 4 pages, I was rounding up. Really anyone who could get further than that needs to be put in a mental institution.

I think Blood-C's narrative arc is pretty damn brilliant. I went from an ironic watcher of that show to an un-ironic defender, though, so my position's a bit strange.
