It's not just writing to me. As a director of a main series Final Fantasy title it was his responsible to uphold and foster the legacy of the series. He mustn't have released an inferior product but he did, he mustn't have released 2 inferior sequels but he did.
No, he failed as director and I want him to leave or direct online social mobile games, he can't do much damage there.

Man, this whole party looks so awkward. Who had the idea to launch a JRPG at a Maxim party. You could maaaybe do that with FFXV, not with FFXIII.

Awh, look at Alli Hillis. I was Facebook friends with Alli for awhile bc she didn't really understand how Facebook worked and let a ton of people on her personal Facebook page. I learned she does a lot of good work with animal shelters and dog rescue. Alli Hillis is good people.

I suppose I can say why not? He actually releases games and they sell well enough, especially when he uses less assets and costs. Also, his games, despite their many story flaws (get him a good writer, SE, and you will see improvement), do have fantastic battle systems.
Although he did direct the sequel, funny enough.

You are right but I don't think Motomu Toriyama will ever not want to be a part of the writing process. His games would be just fine (X-2 is actually an extremely fun game with a diverse battle system, XIII-2 has a whole bunch of side content that is worthwhile) but I think, as much as a lot of us hate on his writing, he is truly passionate about his stories.
