Following the harrowing events at Wildberger Hospital, Caroline Walker hopes for a normal life with her sister, Anna. Yet in the months that follow, Anna is haunted by visions of violence and death, compelling her to create disturbing drawings that rapidly manifest into horrifying reality.

Desperate to free her of this affliction, Caroline travels to the remote town of Villa Hess and a mysterious clinic nestled deep within the mountains of southern Chile. But behind the warm smiles of the facility's serene staff lies a sickening truth, and the sisters soon find themselves at the center of an entirely new nightmare…

Explore a huge variety of unnerving locations within the town, including a shadowy convent, a derelict shopping mall, and an abandoned school.

Harness your supernatural powers to switch between realities, change the past to reshape the present, and search for alternate paths forward in the nightmarish 'other side'.

Collect and modify an arsenal of makeshift weapons such as the nailer and chainsaw, and utilize the new quick select feature to switch armaments in the heat of battle.

Nice. Hoping to play this in a couple of days. The first one was a surprisingly decent fixed camera angle romp.

I played the first one a month ago for the first time. Really loved my time with it, pretty impressive for a small budget game. TS2 is a day 1 for me. I wish more people knew about it.

I hear that this game is going to have difficulty options. If that is true, then I am annoyed because the first one did not have them, sadly. The map you could bring up was atrocious also.

The first game didn't really do it for me, though I plan to give it another go at some point. I might've just not been in the right mindset at the time. But I really enjoyed this game's demo.

Looking forward to jumping in after work tomorrow!

Where does it say that?

The only thing I can find on the official website is:

Flexible gameplay options – Relive the classic fixed-camera survival horror of the 90s with limited saves and tank controls, or switch to assisted mode for a more casual experience.

The Steam page for the game lists "Save anywhere" as a feature but I can't find any other place confirming that.

edit: I found other places confirming that it does have auto saves on Assisted Difficulty.

I'm there. The first one was amazing. The only issue I had with it was that some of the puzzles kind of insanely random. I'm not even sure how I solved one of them. I looked it up and the answer didn't make any sense lol.

About 3 hours in, LOVING it. I loved the 1st one but dropped it because of a stupid, opaque as hell puzzle. Once I went to the net and saw how to solve it I was done because there was no logic to it and I couldn't trust why I would be getting stuck later in the game if I did get stuck again: was I not clever enough to solve a puzzle or was the puzzle simply stupid?

But that said, I loved what I played of the 1st one and LOVED the demo for part 2. After playing 3+ hours of the final release of 2, I can say two things:

#1- I love this one more than the original. It's great so far!
#2- You do not need to have solved or even played TORMENTED SOULS I to play this- it explains itself and what is going on pretty well.
