The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel, Fall 2015 from @XSEEDGames. PS3 and Vita.

Got the good word out.

Looks like my prediction about releasing on currently relevant platforms was on the money, though it was an easy one.

And I will say this; a lot of you guys out there (you know who you are) gave up hope on Sen, or thought we would be waiting until 2020 for localizations. It just so happens that XSEED is so based that they can't help but do all this work at light speed.

My only disappointment is that a PC version is not possible. But that's the least of my worries.

Vita Preorder Link:

$40 for each.

I guess that means no 3rd, zero, or Ao at this point. I can understand them skipping zero and Ao, but very disappointed in not doing 3rd.

I don't get it, this is the remake of the first one or?

This is the best news ever, I will be getting both versions.

For anyone that have played them, is the PS3 version better than the Vita version or are they similar quality wise?

Holy shit... will grab both on vita. Never would have thought we'd get sen this year. Xseed doing great, how are they handling so many games?

What about all the games in-between Trails in the Sky and this one?

I assumed that they were going in order based on what I've read that all the games are connected in the sense that the best way to experience them is to play them in order.

Oh my god, I could barely handle Sen I announcement, but Sen II + Sora no Kiseki TC + NISA publishing everthing in Europe is a complete meltdown for me. I wonder how they can handle such huge scripts all together in a short time. I'm really curious to know if XSEED is collaborating with someone else to translate this massive quantity of dialogs.

Yeees! Ever since I saw the first scans for this game I wanted to play it. Now we just have to wait until fall. Based Xseed.

Also, Tokyo Xanadu next, please

Wasn't expecting it to be available for Steam, my Vita gets more love!

It was pretty clear that Xseed dont have the man power for PC ports after the post in their forums.

I'm afraid we have no experience porting anything ourselves (we have no programmers in-house whatsoever), so yeah, ports such as what you're describing would be dependent entirely on Falcom.

We've tossed around the idea of maybe porting previously console-exclusive titles to PC by way of a third-party programming house (or Sara, our Steam programmer, if she'd be up to the challenge!), but even that's kind of a pipe dream at this point. Finding someone who knows console-specific programming well enough to port whole games from PC (or other consoles), and especially finding such a person within our budget, seems like a virtual impossibility at this point.

So as much as we would love to port Ys Origin to consoles or handhelds... it would ultimately be up to Falcom to do that, I'm sorry to say.

Yaaaay! Even though i would have liked it to be PC or PS4 since i don't use my Vita and PS3 much anymore. Still probably going with PS3....or Vita...i don't know....decide later...just make it crossbuy!

Can't wait. So much Kiseki this year after all this waiting. Will probably get the PS3 version, glad that's coming as well.

Wait, what? Sora TC is coming as well?

In case anyone is curious why Crossbell arc was skipped for now:

No one wants a throne you've been sitting on!
Great news for all the fans in the west who were hoping for a localization of this title!

Is SC also coming to Vita? Is it an actual Vita game now with higher rez or simply psp game on Vita?

Were these never released on the PC in japan ? Just wondering why they aren't coming to that platform. Not that it matters, got a PS3 and legacy handheld too :)

What?! I thought Sen no Kiseki is never going to come out here. I should not played Sen no Kiseki II demo.
The beginning of the demo spoiled all of the plot points of the first game
Oh well, more trails game is always good.

Nope. PS3 and Vita were the main platforms for the game. Falcom's main fanbase is on consoles nowadays which is why they haven't done PC releases recently.

But SC is still not released? What the hell XSEED?! This is megaton for me though. We're getting 2 more Kiseki games. But kinda disappointed about the lack of 3rd, Zero, Ao and Nayuta but those are different problems for another time.

Also, Rejoice! We won't see/hear Trails in the Flash anymore!
I really didn't want to say that...
