I didn't expect this to come over so soon. I'll be getting the Vita version so I can all of the Trails games in one system.
I wonder if they will dub it or just leave the Japanese in.
Tom said:While it's true both [SC and Sen I] were being done simultaneously for a while, the actual fact of the matter is... Sen has less text than people give it a credit for. Only about as much as Trails in the Sky FC, and nowhere near SC (and Sen 2, by all initial reports, has less text than Sen 1!).
It's still a LOT of text, and has been worked on for many, many months already... but compared to SC, it's a breeze. After Rune Factory 4 and Story of Seasons, we've really upped our game when it comes to handling titles with massive amounts of text. We have it down to a science now (and that science is called "give-it-to-Nick-ology").
PS3. Vita version struggles whenever there are cutscenes with flashy particle effects. What is the better version regarding performance? I want to avoid slow-downs and long loading times. Planning to buy for Vita.

This only happens in cutscenes? What about the battles, pretty there is a lot of special effects in those.
Nothing worth mentioning, it runs pretty well except for those particle effects. Especially the final boss(es).
PS3 has long loading though without using a SSD so get one.
Thanks. I can handle sporadic slow-downs if I can play it in a handheld.
There's also a bit of load time when loading a new area. Nothing too bad, but expect to stare at the screen for about 5-10 seconds on the Vita.

Confirmed physical releases. I'm not sure about how wide distribution will be, but where there's a will there's a way.No mention if these will have retail releases or not yet?
What are people complaining about this time? Lol
Apparently not doing TC, Zero and Ao in chronological order.
Some people just can't be pleased.
Probably part of why that was jumped on so quickly, these aren't the gargantuan tasks SC and maybe Zero are.
Oh nice! Will totally keep an eye on the coming coverage of 'em then! Hopefully the gameplays abit quicker than it was in FC and has a better camera. My PS3 could use some rpgs that don't have Atelier in the title lol.Confirmed physical releases. I'm not sure about how wide distribution will be, but where there's a will there's a way.
Question is, how soon is Sen II coming then? 3rd and Crossbell are going to need a lot of hard, long work before they're good to launch on PC. I just can't see people going through Sen II before Ao—best compromise I can think of is a dual release for both, giving you an option.Probably part of why that was jumped on so quickly, these aren't the gargantuan tasks SC and maybe Zero are.
Though it'll be a relief if Zero and Ao are more FC than SC. Maybe then we'll actually see them whenever its convenient.
Not interested. Skipping the third part of the Trails in the Sky Trilogy and the entire Crossbell duology ? I totally understand that it was unreasonable / impossible, but I don't like it one bit. Will wait for a big discount.
I'm confused. I thought Trails In The Sky was coming to PS4? This is a sequel to that one? I've never played any of theses games. Are they like Ys? Action RPGs with a cool soundtrack?
I think TitS (and most of the series actually?) are also on PS3 but they aren't doing those versions because reasons? The sequel to that is coming out on PSP/PC soonish (download-only because??). The whole series seems ta be pretty standard jrpg without action elements. The music of the first game wasn't really great but I dunno about later ones.I'm confused. Please stop jumping the gun on this topic. XSEED has not explicitly said 3rd, Zero, and Ao aren't happening, and skipping to Sen and Sen II doesn't rule the others out. Hatsuu's posting a blog later today discussing the issues people are having with XSEED's announcement. For that matter, those games aren't unreasonable to do, and they won't suffer from the same production circumstances that have plagued SC.Not interested. Or you could show that there's indeed a market for Trails games, which might improve the chances that the other games receive a localization as well down the line.![]()

That sounds fair.To expand a little on my post : I vote with my wallet. You are not interested in releasing 3rd first ? I'm far less interested in the other games.
Doesn't mean they won't do 3rd one day and doesn't mean I won't buy Sen one day too. I personally just see no reason to day one this.
Trails in the Sky is three games (First Chapter, Second Chapter, 3rd Chapter) focusing on the adventures of Estelle and Joshua Bright in Liberlthis all forms the first component of the Kiseki saga thus far. After the games in Liberl come installments set in a smaller, more technologically-advanced state, Crossbell. Following these games, Zero and Ao, Sen and Sen II (no Kiseki) aka Trails of Cold Steel take place in Erebonia, the biggest nation in the Zemurian continent overall, and where a civil war breaks out involving members of the Thors Military Academy. How are these related to the trails in the sky games and are they any good?
I might need to just get a Vita
I really dont have the motivation to hook up my ps3 again
