Jin34 said:Has anyone seen the movie XXY? They showed it in my anthropology class on Thursday. I know hermaphrodites are not the same thing, but in the movie the themes are very similar: social acceptance, confusion, there are more than 2 genders and sexual identities. And its more than just from the hermaphrodites POV, but from her family, friends/lovers.
BTW the movie is Argentinian (from 2007) so for most of you you would have to read subtitles.

Jamie xxoo said:No some xxy people just have normal external bodies and have something weird about their insides, like having an ovary or an undescended testicle where there shouldn't be anything. Some people just have the chromosomes with no confused sexual characteristics. There's different types.

I'm a Lakers fan so I read the LA Times sports section a lot and remember the article where he came out as Christine. He didn't cover the NBA much so I never noticed that he went back to his original name. Apparently he was tired of getting made fun of and got depressed. I hope none of transGAF is in a similar situation
Paul Oberjuerge, then a sports columnist for the San Bernardino Sun, was in the crowd. "I hate to be judgmental about these things, but Christine is not an attractive woman," he wrote on his blog, noting that Daniels had a prominent Adam's apple and stood more than 6 feet tall in wobbly heels. "It seemed almost as if we're all going along with someone's dress-up role playing. . . . "
"I told her, 'No, you're beautiful,' " Maxwell said. "I was trying to say all the right things. How do you tell someone who looks like a man, 'You're a beautiful woman'? I don't know."
The profile writer, Evan Wright, said that to write an honest article, he would have to observe that the sportswriter did not pass as a woman. "I thought, 'Bottom line, she has a fantasy conception. She doesn't accept who she is.' "

If he kept the vagina the sex must be weird.Jamie xxoo said:@wRATH2x I know of one person like that. She ended up marrying a female-to-male transsexual (who is HOT).

Yeah I don't mean it in an offensive way, I just thought it would be weird.Jamie xxoo said:I doubt it would be used. I don't know how things would work in the bedroom or what each of them would like/be comfortable with, but if two people love each other they'll find a way to express it.
OK sorry I'll edit that.Jamie xxoo said:For someone who doesn't mean to be offensive you're awfully good at it. They're just two people who love each other, not porn objects. Keep in mind I KNOW the people you're role-playing here, and they're not like that at all. Grow up.

6 Biggest Badasses Who Lived as the Opposite Sex
i forget my age a lot. i think its because i dont really do much for my birthday. Usually i forget about it until someone reminds me. im really bad with dates and time.lexi said:Oh and by the way, am I the only person in recorded history to have done this? For I think maybe the past 18 months... or more, I don't even know how or when it happened, I thought I was a year older than I actually was. All this time I've been telling so many people I am 27, when I am actually 26. Did this happen when I was 25 thinking I was 26?
It's kinda cool though, it's like getting a year back!
Morrowind and Final Fantasy X at the moment. And sometimes Might and Magic VI when i get the urge to document stuff. i was kind of shocked that there wasnt a compilation of all the faces in MM6 so ive been going around and taking screenshots. i figure im about halfway through but theres no way to be certain. My work thus far.tehAinsley said:So like, what's everyone playing these days? I'm working on Final Fantasy XIII on the Xbox360. Final Fantasy IV DS, it's pretty awesome so far. Chrono Trigger DS, loving it as well. And I'm sitting here right now thinking about starting a Plasma Cutter only run of Dead Space. 'Cause Dead Space is awesome!
What're ya'll playin'?!

Holy crap! :lol
NPCs. Some are used more than once. Some are unique to certain towns. Trying to make sure i dont get duplicate faces became really hard once i hit the 100 mark.. at 200+ now i get headaches really quick :loltehAinsley said:@Wendi: Thats ALOT of faces. Are all those of characters that you actually control at some point or another? Or just NPCs and such?

tehAinsley said:@Lexi: <333333333 Fallout 3 and Torchwood. Excellent stuff. I still need to finish picking up some achievements in Fallout 3, only missing 6 I believe. The karma ones. It's just so hard to play evil vault dweller for me. :lol
How does someone our age forget?
Yea i <3 the MM series. Its combat is pretty broken, the quests are pretty horrible, dialogue is non-existent.. yet, the games have a charm about them. Everything is so colorful and vibrant. The different places and people feel distinct. And i love the animations of both the enemies and the places you go. Thats probably my next project.. taking the guilds, shops, taverns, etc. and making animated gifs of them. Some of them are hilarious like there is one alchemist shop with a HUGE spider hiding behind the lady that peeks out every so often :lolAkuMifune said:Holy shit I love you. The Might & Magic series (6 in particular!) gets no appreciation here.
I still have my cloth map of Enroth somewhere...
