Perhaps when you return from your GAF-sponsored vacation you can explain to the TG among us how they can better handle being in the wrong body, cause it all sounds so simple from your perspective. :lol

What exactly are you talking about with this empirical data? Serious question. Do we know about what goes on in a fetus's mind during development that can somehow prove/disprove that there's some kind of gender or sexual mix-up that happens for trans/gay/bi people?

Also, lexi is the hawtness! :D
That's all well and good, but he won't even be able to see the forums during a ban. I don't think he'll be returning to this thread, either.

Seems like 75% of GAF has been banned at least once...

You can just logout and browse normally, without posting.

Unless they do IP level bans, but I doubt they go to those lengths. He can just fume and stroke his ego because he's been quoted like three times thus far.

Oh, and good deal on the prodding yourself with needles, NewGame. We expect pictures in at least two or three months time.

It's usually just an account ban.

For scientific and academic purposes, of course.

Just on 3 months for me, and I'm flat as a board.

ok, serious non-sexual question. I've heard some say that their nipples became very sensitive before their breasts started to grow. Has that been the case for you at all? Just curious.

If that makes you uncomfortable to talk about or I'm crossing the line then I retract my query.

My mother is quite a busty D-cup.

Ok, even though I know we were talking on MSN, I have a question: could it be that you're on pills and others are taking shots? Aren't pills much slower to affect you?

I'm not sure if that's true or not. My endocrinologist didn't seem to think it made any difference and that taking pills was easier.

I don't want this to come across as patronising but I find it refreshing and warming that you folk can openly talk about an issue which is still taboo in many places so openly and with so little abuse here on what is essentially a gaming related forum frequented mainly by men.

It shows we actually have a good community on here unlike most of the internet.

It is one of the last taboo's really and still not understood by most, myelf included probably.

Can't imagine what you must have gone through at some stage, my sister came out as a lesbian a year or two ago and it was hard for her, I had to tell my Dad as she couldn't and I still don't think he acknowledges it.

Just one issue though:

@mysticwhip "Shemale" is a porn term and it *is* insulting, and "tranny" is like the "n" word for African-Americans. It's not an acceptable word for non-trans people to use and even amongst trans-people a lot of us HATE the term (including me). If you want to be nice, just say trans-woman or trans-man, or transgender.

I know what you're trying to say and I can certainly see why the terms are hurtful but come on it's wrong to compare it or any insult with that word.

It's not in the same league

No disrespect at all, but she's not saying it is, she's giving an example of why it's not appropriate to use that word. We're not comparing just how bad the word is.

I don't think you can get injectible estrogen prescribed in Australia. This was what a friend told me - not a doctor, so I might be wrong. She got her 2 year injectible prescription from a Thai doctor and buys the shots online I think.

At 3 months it's normal to be flat as a board. Look how long teenage girls take to grow breasts - it takes years. You don't see a bunch of 12 year olds walking around with C cups.

Most growth happens within the first 24 months and then you can expect further development over another 5 years after that. Some go quicker than others just because of genetics. Painful nipples mean that growth is occurring though - it's the breast glands activating, so Lexi you might have a breast explosion any day, you never know.

No argument there. One thing is race and the other is gender identity - apples and oranges. I was just trying to convey how nasty a word "tranny" is and why you might hear some transsexuals calling each other by that name from time to time, but why you, as a cisgender person (not transsexual), should never use it. It's comparable to the "N" word in the sense that it started out as a derogatory and oppressive term, was co-opted and re-purposed within the community that it was applied to, but which maintains it's original bad connotations when used by someone outside the community. It's also similar in that some people within that community still only feel the negative connotations of the word and don't like it used by *anyone*.

I was only comparing the fact that these two words share dualities of meaning that depend on the person wielding them. The connotations of the two words and the history behind them though are of course totally different and no direct comparison between African-American struggle and transsexual struggle was intended. Apologies for not making that clearer at the start.

I actually accomplished something today, well a few things even. I finally assembled my new chocolate brown desk ANNND I've started shopping for more office appropriate clothing for whatever my new job will be.

Yay, productiveness!

Ooh I love office-wear.

I spent all day with my special guy - my 7 month-old nephew that is. Auntie Jamie is a nappy-changing ninja.

Android18a: I don't know what to say to that, I don't feel like I'm something to aim for.

I'd be too frightened of ending up as Alfarif's September girl in his women of NeoGAF calendar.

Anyway there haven't been any guys I've wanted to flirt with in the "post new pics!" thread since Maiar_m :lol

GDI... I will never live this down! :lol :lol

In other news, I recorded a fem voice for kicks and sent it to Lexi and Ains... yeaaaaaah.

That's so cool! I've drunk more diet coke than one of their factories could produce alone over a 10 year period and they've never given me anything!

There aren't many guys who could make me feel insecure, but he did a pretty good job.

I'd PM but on this connection I've got now it would take me a day to download a single episode and it would stop me from being able to use the net in the meantime. Interested in people's reviews though! I wonder if the "trans" people are drag queens - most transwomen I've known seem to only know the basics, same as most girls.

How did everyone here learn to use makeup? Natal girls welcome to share as well! When I came out to my best girlfriend (only the second person I told I was trans) I had never put on a scrap of makeup in my life. She had me over for a teen-style pajama party and showed me how to use eyeliner, two-tone eyeshadow, foundation, and lipstick - that's all she knew. Mom and other girlfriends couldn't show me anything more - all the women in my life are practical, not-fussed-about-these-things type girls. I learned a few other things from the internet and magazines, but generally I only do tinted sunscreen, eyeliner and a single color eyeshadow. Mascara if I'm feeling insecure. Foundation and blush if I'm REALLY insecure.

If you mean the women on the show, then nope. They're all women intrinsically.

Ooh makeup talk. I'm mostly self taught with a few pointers from a makeup artist I know, and also some youtube videos.

My usual casual look is just concealer, an earthy toned eyeliner and a clear gloss. Mascara occasionally if I want to give it more oomph.

Tonight I am going to a friends' birthday party and will be going with a much more dramatic look. Smoky eyes, defined lips. I'm also super nervous about this as there will be a ton of acquaintances there that I haven't really seen in over 10 months.

Ooh scary! You'll be great though. I hope you've got a few current friends there to act as a security blanket?

I'll be doing the whole contacting old school friends etc through facebook soon. I'm really nervous about their reactions too.

Yes, I have a few friends there that I'll probably immediately gravitate to. :p I want to feel and be really confident, though!

Just back now. :p

I had an amazing time, everybody was so nice especially the people from my close knit group of friends that I've known for years. Coincidentally the host of the party was friends with another transgirl! We chatted for about 20 minutes before she headed out for some clubs in West End. The bitch made me tear up though when she said that upon walking to the room thinking I was just another GG friend of the host. She has been living full-time for 8 years now and transitioned in a really redneck part of North Queensland so it was extremely hard not to like her.

I chatted to various people throughout the night and it progressed as a regular party does, an extremely drunk girl approached me and said I was really pretty and that she loved my top. If she was a little more sober she might not have said anything.

The best reaction I got was from the wife of a friend who like, visibly gasped and grinned when she saw me with an 'oh my god' kind of expression which is probably fair enough -- last she would have seen of me I was maybe 45ish kg heavier among other things.

Hmm, what else. A drunk, cute looking Indian guy who could probably speak underwater and was really touchy-feely insisted I buy Left 4 Dead 2 to play with him.

Oh and I nearly passed out on the balcony, I think it might have been dehydration, lack of food, lack of water, surplus of alcohol.

I dunno if anyone has commented on this yet or not, but all of you girls must be very brave, I mean nerves of steel or something. I'm thankful I was born a gender I'm okay with, I can't even imagine walking into a party full of people who knew me as a man, now a woman. I'd probably be a shut-in the rest of my life.

Just wanted to say that Lexi and everyone else who has done this has my infinite respect. You're a stronger person than I. I'm glad everything went well for you and hope this instilled even more confidence in your appearance. I think you look great too. :D

My hat's off to you too Lexi, I pretty much AM a shut-in. I've been out to dinner and lunch with one or two people a few times but that's it.
