Trump, as described by former employees (The Guardian)

Sounds pretty standard, I keep hoping all this would be an act and after winning the primaries he would call a press conference and go in on all his supporters for being stupid. The world couldn't take it though.
He'll appear at a WWE event, call out Jerry Lawler, and then pull off his mask, revealing himself to be Andy Kaufman. This makes more sense than Ted Cruz being the Zodiac Killer.

All of these articles keep giving me hope that he will pull off the mask, so to speak, to reveal that his voters are batshit insane and they should all be ashamed tonhave voted for him in the first place.

That seems about right. I wouldn't pay attention to anything Roger Stone says and that Trump employee in Vegas is probably gonna get canned immediately.

He won't - he loves the power and praise, and surely that's pretty easy to empathize with at least. Combine that with somebody who's greedy, egotistic and has questionable morals and... Well, I'd give up hope if I were you :p

Honestly expected worse. Seems like a rich man that is perhaps a tad eccentric or has some quirks. We all have quirks. The whole hiring women thing and the real reason behind it, may be true, but then again it might not be true and since nobody can get in the mind of Trump it's a moot point. It actually makes him look better in my eyes. Though he's so low at this point that's not saying much anyway.

Trump, as described by people who have literally been paid money not to say anything bad about him.

I think practically everyone saw it as a joke. A hugely inappropriate joke.

And yet

This is the same man that said if he wasn't his daughter's dad, he'd totally fuck her because he's hot.

Trump's representative said that it was a self-deprecatory joke in reference to the fact that he has a tendency to date younger women, and I think it's obvious enough that the audience took it that way. Whether that was inappropriate joke to make or or not, it's a huge leap to get from there to "if he wasn't his daughter's dad, he'd totally fuck her".

That link literally says he said exactly that.

Dating generally leads to fucking.

Given it seems to be one of the first jokes he thinks of when talking about his daughter, are you at all surprised that some see something a little disturbing in that?

Dating generally leads to fucking.

Leads to, but is not the same as. He was being asked how he would feel if his daughter posed for Playboy. He began by saying that he wouldn't approve, then immediately rebounded by saying that she is beautiful and making a joke about his well-known history of dating younger women. I don't like Trump any more than you do, but that doesn't mean I think it's okay to misquote him.

TL;DR: He did not "literally" say "exactly" this:

I want to fuck my daughter

And I think you may be reading too far into the remark if you think he implied it.

This is the same man that said if he wasn't his daughter's dad, he'd totally fuck her because she's hot.
I read this as:

This is the same man that said if he wasn't his daughter's dad, he'd totally be dating her because she's hot.
I blame it on my completely natural dislike of Trump.

So I apologize Valjean for saying exactly and literally.

The implications are there, and easily read though.

The man has a creepy fascination with his daughter. And no sense whatsoever for comedy.

Honestly, reading The Art of the Deal makes Trump come off as a decent guy. He does random acts of kindness for people, seems to have some sense of solidarity with his fellow man, talks about how low income housing is a good thing, does right by his employees, and comes off as a devoted father.

Either that was all an act, something changed within him, or a lot of this is an act.

I can't wait for Trump to win the nomination then say it was all a con to show how stupid the republican voter is.

He changed his persona during the election.

He changed his persona since 2011 or so.

He was very much a moderate for most of his life. Somewhere in the second half of Obama's first term, he went full populist Republican and never looked back.

If only it was just populist rhetoric.

I'd feel a hell of a lot safer for my not so ivory white friends.

He won't go that far, but it's clear he's playing political rope-a-dope.

Pretty much everyone's a dope, though. Everyone seems to hang on his every word, whether you're for him or against him. And anytime people think he's done or cornered, he somehow rebounds and gets ahead again. Personally, I've never seen anything like it.

I just assumed most people that date as adults tend to engage in sexual relations. Maybe I'm wrong about this. Is that not what you think?

& yes, we realize it's a joke. It's still really gross and doesn't really help his case in the context of the rest of my post.
If the joke answer you come up with to "What are you and your daughters favorite past-time together" is sex, then there's some really unhealthy shit going on in that mind.

I mean, you might have used the wrong word, but the freaking implication is there for all to see. And he brought it on himself, by making the "joke".

“He couldn’t stand to see anything look bad,” Sprague recalled. “He used to call me up at night and say: ‘Did you know that there’s a soda bottle in front of Trump Plaza?’ and I would have to make sure it was picked up right away because he would drive past again to see that it was gone.
Finally, a candidate that cares about the environment.
