Hey now, he doesn't have 30 staff members.

Lewandowski got fired and then an advisor made fun of that on Twitter and resigned, so he has 28 staff members.

That's just how he likes it! Lean and flexible and easier to oversee!!!!

Holy shit that tweet was brutal.

That kind of brings up an interesting point.

Assuming the majority of large republican donors don't believe Trump can actually win, are they expected to burn money just to make it more competitive?

Great America PAC, the main pro-Trump group only had $500,000 cash on hand as of May 31st.

For reference as to how low $1.3 COH is, the Ted Cruz campaign at last filing has $6.8m COH.

Spending by the Trump presidential campaign:

$543,000 spent for "website consulting"
$172,000 to the Jones Day law group
$423,000 renting out Mar A Lago (owned by Trump)
$29,715 and $35,845 spent at Trump Intl Golf Club
$125,080 at Trump Restaurants
$72,800 at Trump Tower
$349,000 to Tag Air (owned by Trump)

He's using his campaign to funnel money to his own businesses. His campaign is such a bald face scam. He is fiscally disastrous

This guy. This guy, he's a nice guy. Or so I hear. But let's be honest. Let's be honest, he's a loser. He's got no idea. No idea. About what he's doing. He can't run a campaign. He's got no money. He's got no money. 1.3 million dollars? Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? That's chump change. I'm worth 8 trillion dollars. 8 trillion. I don't mean to boast or brag. That just a fact. 9 trillion. A fact. And 30 staffers? Come on. Seriously? Come on. I have 800 black jack dealers at my Enduin Casino in Vegas. 800. All of them Ivy Grads. But they work for me. Enduin. Because I'm the best. They love me, the blacks, jack dealers. But this Trump guy. Total loser. Dump him. He should bow out in disgrace. Disgrace. Because he's a failure and a pedophile. I don't necessarily believe that. He's seems like an OK enough guy. But that's just what I've heard.

Have they decided on debate dates?

Nope, but Trump still might be kicked to the curb at the convention, even with the delegates. The GOP is that desperate.

EDIT: I guess they have? Still, my answer remains the same about Trump being kicked to the curb.

Have they decided on debate dates?

First presidential debate: Monday, Sept. 26, 2016, at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio

Vice presidential debate: Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016, at Longwood University in Farmville, Va.

Second presidential debate: Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016, at Washington University in St. Louis

Third presidential debate: Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016 at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas

Holy shit is that real?

The campaign estimates it currently has about 30 paid staff on the ground across the country.

"There are some holes," Brookover said. "There are fewer holes than there were."

Specifically, Trump has added at least one paid staffer in both Wisconsin and Iowa in recent days, targeting two Midwestern states where he hopes to reverse Democrats' winning streaks in the November general election. The campaign has also added for the first time a human resources professional to assist with hiring.

Just one employee in Iowa.

I wanted him as the nominee; PoliGAF can provide the receipts going back to last Summer. I knew that for Hillary to have the best chance at victory, knowing her flaws, she'd need an absolute trainwreck as her opponent.

I had a pretty good hunch that he'd be a horrible GE candidate, but never in my wildest dreams did I think he could be this disastrous. So. Very. Disastrous. This is amazing to witness.

I could see them funneling money into non-presidential races instead and trying to ensure as few losses as possible occur.

There is no way. No way. Please tell me this is true. And why isn't this the final straw?

I don't even know how you could turn his campaign around, even with the best political strategists on board. Even if he didn't have the mountain that is his public perception problem, their funding is totally screwed. This is Trump's first rodeo and it shows. It's like a kid hitting a home run in little league and then getting called up to the majors the next day. Don is lost.

Judging by numbers in the filings, Katrina Pierson is getting $120k a year, $10k a month from the last couple filings.

Hell, I'd be Donald Trump's spokesman for that kinda scratch.

nothing wrong with keepin it real

This cannot be real, holy shit!

The issue is, this is actually a way you could convince otherwise Trump supporting delegates to dump Trump. Sure, he's a racist sexist asshole, but he's not hiring anybody!

Like legitimately, I played for years in an online game where we ran for President/Senate/etc. We had to budget campaigns. It was some nerdy shit. Every Presidential campaign in that game over the 5 or 6 years it ran on both sides (and we ran POTUS elections every six months) was more professional and had deeper strategy than the Trump campaign.

Like, if a party IG was screwing up this badly, they'd go to the Admins and ask for the nominee to be replacing, pointing toward the reality that no Presidential campaign would ever disappear like this.

Hillary has a pretty easy GE opponent this fall and the great thing is, she will not let her guard down despite his stupidity and lack of money!

Trump is toast.

I know this is a running joke, but I really hope people don't believe this. Have you seen his speeches? There is no faking that kind of anger that he wears on his face. He's not that good of an actor come on people.

Eh, I don't think any of his rhetoric is that sincere. He just pulls it out of his ass because he knows it will rile up a crowd. Trump is certainly a bigot, but he's so duplicitous that I can't imagine he's nearly as fervent of a xenophobe as his supporters are.

I have to admit, Trump is smart, really smart. He fooled half of the country, outed millions of closet racist, handed the presidential election to Democrat, and managed to make himself richer while doing it.

Trump is scum, but I don't think deep down he's that bad. He's just smart enough to know who butters his bread.

The shit show of western democracy continues.

Why is there even a GE? Hilary will win. Just get it over with.

Unless the GOP rid of Trump and put someone up that could beat her. Its not impossible they wouldn't do this.

I think they should just bear a 4 year term with Hillary and try again.

Does he need money when he's already convinced people to vote for him? I think most people have decided and are making up their own lore about the man. He can just do online support? It's not like bigots are going to vote for a woman, or any other gop representative.

Wow, I can only imagine the asswhooping this November, this can really be the landslide after all if that's all the money he can get.

God, he is so damn fucked. I'm still digesting this.

He has to spend time fundraising. She's on a low-risk, media-friendly tea-sippin' tour of the swing states.
He has no data operation. She effectively inherited Obama's behemoth.
He has no GOTV operation. Again, she's effectively inherited Obama's behemoth.
He has few surrogates. She has the liberal version of the Justice League backing her up.

Even if the GOP were to replace him, they'd end-up alienating their base, and the candidate they pick starts the general behind the 8-ball from an organizational standpoint.

I.. I think I'm getting teary-eyed. Please hang in there, Trumpy..

So ..... imagine Trump steps down and the GOP picks someone else for him to endorse so his supporters (basically the Republican base today) show up to the polls. Would have to be someone palpable to the lunatics who wanted Trump but also a legitimate threat to Hillary in GE.

It had to be intentional right? Dude saw the house was burning down and saw his way to the exit.
The is the first thing I though of as well.

I know this is a distraction from the kind of campaign you want to run, so I'm resigning my position as director of communications for caucus operations at the 2016 Republican National Convention. Let's make this immediate,"

Caputo later told CNN that "falling on the sword is what you do if you mess up."
"Unforced errors have no place on a general election campaign for the White House," he said.
Ya, kinda reads like "Seriously, don't call me back."

See I don't know about that. Maybe that was how it started at first, but I think he is being influenced by his supporters and essentially he's opening up, becoming ok with thinking that way. I don't see a man selling bs, I see a man saying what he wants to say.

If he really didn't mean the crap he says, he would turn it off immediately or at least reign it in, but he just can't help himself.
