Hope Hicks is weird.

AT THE CONVENTION

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome the next President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump!

Lasers flash through smoke, live elephants trumpet, a hologram of Reagan materializes on stage to anoint his successor.

The waiting is suspenseful, delirious... and uncomfortable. Trump isn't showing up on stage. A digital tear falls down holo-Ronnie's cheek.

MEANWHILE, ON A RUNWAY IN GUADALAJARA

A man carrying cartoon sacks of money with dollar bill signs on them steps out of a private plane with some gold lettering hastily painted over. He's wearing a fake black mustache that doesn't match his orange hair at all.

A customs agent asks if he isn't...

"NO, NO. ME LLAMO JUAN MOLINERO. MUY MAGNIFICO, YO SOY EL MEJOR. EL MEJOR."

He doesn't need advertisement money right now. He's all anyone talks about.

The problem is, everybody knows what Trump is by now. His "free publicity" is only dragging down his numbers because he seems to have hit a ceiling on the types that like to fantasize about banning Muslims and sending people back to Mexico.

Trump playing Americans like a damn fiddle.

Conservative politics is a goddamned gold mine for scam artists. I'd legit consider doing something like that myself. Not running for office as a Republican or start a radio show, but maybe have a website that sells shitty right-wing paraphernalia like t-shirts that say "Hillary 4 prison 2016" or whatever.

Hell, anyone wanna team up for such a thing? We'd be rich. Rich as nazis!

Deep dive summary of the Donald Trump for President Campaign filing numbers:

$1,289,507.76 cash on hand
$45,703,185.39 IN DEBT

Breathtaking. He is a financial disaster living on credit.

If I could find Trump ice in stored I'd drink nothing else. Except Trump vodka. Can someone link me where to buy all of Trump's nice, luxurious offerings?

$1.3 million cash on hand
$44 million in debt

I don't know Trump said he loves debt. He's gonna play around with it and declare bankruptcy! Then he is going to make a deal with the FEC! You know how great he is at deals! Make campaigning great again!

The best thing that could come out of this campaign is Trump's bogus claims of being a billionaire debunked once and for all.

Wow, all those special interest millions piling up in the Clinton camp. I guess though people just like to spend millions, and expect nothing in return right? That causes me much more frustration than seeing Trump not have money. Why would a person in US be proud of a candidate getting all that money, and part of the election process, and not call THAT a mess instead?

Politics and money in the US is what really needs reformed.

You got to think some intrepid journalist is working on this story as we speak right? It would be the penultimate moment in this election.

Yes it does. But right now my priorities are seeing Trump stopped.

Can you break down the various special interests with a stake in Hillary Clinton, and exactly how much they've magically contributed versus individual donations?

Could someone explain, I thought he was a billionair, can't he just use some of his own money?

A lot of people think it's smoke and mirrors. For example he reckons his name brand (ie stamping his name on something) is worth like, $3 bn in and of itself.

But like, campaign staff and a get out the vote effort and a media buy can't be financed with that.

The Debt part was entirely loaned by Trump though

19. Loans Received:
(a) Loans Received From or Guaranteed By Candidate 45703185.39

If I don't read it wrong, either the GOP or the Tax Payer has to pay him back right?

He is being frugal and showing America that you don't need to spend like crazy to get the job done.

This is the kind of responsible and level headed thinking that will make America great again. No more spending cash on useless crap.

This has to be a troll post

It doesn't matter really, majority of individuals folks don't spend millions and not expect returns either. It's a crock of shit.

This is 100% already happening. I saw a television ad recently that started out like a pro-Trump campaign ad. It then turns into one of those things where you send them money and they send you Trump themed merchandise. It's like a Slap Chop commercial, but instead of making double entendre about nuts it just makes you weep for the future.

I've spent money on Hillary's campaign.

The return I'm expecting is a competent president that won't turn our country into a literal dumpster fire.

He didnt forgive the debt. GOP has to pay that back. I read recently that the RNC only had $19m

He is going to bankrupt the GOP.

If he doesn't raise enough money to pay himself back, the rules will require him to take the loss. Similar thing happened in 2008 when Hillary loaned her campaign $13 million.

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2013/01/22/hillary-clintons-campaign-debt-finally-paid-off/

At that point, her presidential committee owed $12 million to almost 500 creditors and $13.2 million to the candidate herself, who dipped into her personal funds to help finance her campaign.

Campaign finance laws forced Clinton to forgive the amount she loaned her committee because she was not able to repay the funds by a required deadline.

Unfortunately Trump and his campaign have finally recognized that this is a serious issue for them and are now making changes to become a larger, more GE ready campaign. I just hope it is too late or inconsequential.

See, the way I figure it, bilking right-wingers out of their hard earned money (i.e. social security checks) is a victimless crime.

Establishment Scum.

More seriously, there are probably 100 House Campaigns with more CoH than Trump has right now.

For those of you who don't get this, imagine I don't know, Manchester United running off the budget of a 4th tier League Two team or if you're American, the Yankees running off the budget of a AA club.

I wonder how much more obvious it can be that Trump's entire campaign is a false flag operation to ensure his good friend Hillary is elected President.
God it really feels like this sometimes lol it's just the people who support him are bat shit insane and no matter what he says they love it.

No. He's allowed to just eat the loss personally and/or pay his campaign out of his own pockets. But he's also allowed to keep this campaign open for a very long time so that he can take donations so that he can minimize his own personal loss.

A running bit on The Bugle was how long Rudy Giuliani's 2008 Republican primary campaign continued to accept donations. I want to say the fundraising page might have finally been taken down in 2011 or 2012?
