So if these were the most qualified cabinet ever like I heard from his supporters over and over.

Must be a pretty steep drop to their replacements huh.

Remember when we were mad about Tillerson's nomination? We were so young and naive then. Tillerson is (relatively) a "good guy". The next SoS will be worse.
 
Thankfully this position takes senate votes. So even if he fired Rex, him getting a Trumper in his place is pretty slim.
 
Tillerson is only there to facilitate that rumoured oil deal. Now that GOP passed the recent sanctions it's a bit of a mess.
 
I mean on one hand I would be fine if Rex was gone, since he seems pretty horrible at his job. The state department seems like a shell of it's former self since he took charge, and he doesn't seem effective whatsoever.

On the other hand, who the hell knows who will take his place? Rex doesn't seem completely unhinged, just incompetent.

I guess I don't really care one way or the other. Just pick whomever. Until Trump is gone, it's all just a major shit show.

He isn't though. Rex is there to lift the Russian sanctions, nothing more. Since that is unlikely to happen, his job is pointless to Russia and Trump.
 
Who he fires isn't as important as who he hires to take their place at this point.

I would just assume he's dumping everyone he came in with and will just keep flipping people at-will the rest of his presidency because he's paranoid and clueless.
