I'm hoping there is something about backwards compatibility and that a number of games are getting a Pro patch. GT7 with more ray tracing, Final Fantasy 16 in 60fps and Rise of the Ronin... de-shitted would be most welcome.

I remember seeing this during their E3 experience some time back. They hinted at backwards compatibility and I'll only buy the pro if we actually get it.

I got married this year, so no fucking way my wife lets me get a ps5 pro. Lol.

I'll just have to live with my ps5 poor.
She isnt ur master and u arent her slave, to need permission for ur entertainment expense, i bet from now till end of november(so ps5pr0 launch) she will spend way more cash than ps5pr0 gonna coston her leasure/entertainment and she wont ask u for permission on that, and hell u can even sell or trade off ur old base ps5 to reduce cost significantly ^^
Worst comes to worst make it ur xmass present :messenger_ok:

im not sure what you're getting at with this reply lol
I am more of a tech guy than you as i deal with cnc's and robotics at work. And plan to invest in more.

Your comment was premature.

All good. No worries. I am excited but realistic at the same time. Too much burn the last few years in the gaming industry

Idk it's hard to be excited for a PS5 Pro with the output of first party games now taking so long.

If they announced games with the caveat they are like 2-3 years away at least we could see what's coming and be excited

I much preferred the old way of announcing games years in advance. I didn't care if they took a long time to be released I just liked that we knew what was coming eventually

Awesome, it was about time, but why only 9 minutes when things like significantly better RT and especially PSSR need to be mentioned and shown ?!

I dont think he'll talk price. That's come from a mainstream Sony state of play or PR blogpost.

But I think the price will be +$150 vs current models. $200 is a stretch. And $100 for a big boost sounds too cheap in modern day.

Considering their weird wording I wonder if there are some features( software ones) that will be also be coming to regular ps5( maybe pssr?)

9 minutes wtf... more time could be taken up showing real world examples of the benefits in games and stuff. Ugh weird..
It was never going to happen during the cerny talk.

Outlets like DF probably already know more about it and might have games running on it to show.

I'm actually interested to hear how they maintain backward compatibility with PS4. As far as I remember both the PS4 Pro and PS5 intentionally use 36 compute units to keep a butterfly design with PS4's 18 compute units. Yet this thing is reportedly has 60 compute units....
