Well There It Is Jurassic Park GIF

I remember seeing this during their E3 experience some time back. They hinted at backwards compatibility and I'll only buy the pro if we actually get it.

This will always be such a weird graphic because no graphic designer would do it like this. It's like they removed some logos last minute. That PS3 logo should be below the PS4 one and it fits perfectly. It's odd as hell lmao.

I remember watching this live and thinking "omg they are gonna do it!!" and they never did.

If they use a 3rd party game for a demo it's likely to be newish as the requirement to develop a PS5 Pro version of a game probably only kicks for games in the next month or so.
It was sometime in Aug any game submitted to Sony for certification had to include a Pro patch, just don't recall if it was early or late last month

It better fucking be the return of PlayStation Home

Ha, that would be awsome.

PS Home was so great, i mean it took an age to load up on PS3, but it was so ahead of its time.

The hardware is here now for Home to be really great.

So I'm guessing this is going to be the PS5 Pro announcement, but perhaps not the console itself shown, and a deep dive into PSSR and the boost in graphical processing power

9 mins is a long time to talk about the components. This is a technical presentation. The price and design and other stuff won't be announced. That would be in a State of Play.

Look at his PS5 technical presentation. Nothing was shown except why the components were chosen and the goals they want to achieve with the device.

All this price talks reminds me of road to ps5 price reveal, people were going with the price stickers, yet ps5 was cheaper than predicted. Odds are ps5 pro might be similar.

Edit: although unlikely, as ps5 itself costs around 450usd, so I expect pro to be at 599$
$599 digital. $699 disc.

Remember they just raised the DualSense price. It's going to be high.

We finally get a pro reveal and people complaining about 9min.
Who the fuck cares. Let them roll out the information how they want.

Clearly tomorrow is right to the point and we will continue to get info across multiple venues. Much better then blowing air up my ass for 30min

Guys, remember how he used Boletaria for the road to ps5 video? It's Bloodborne remake time. You know it!

Some people just won't be happy no matter what. 9 minutes? Why not 5 hours. Ps5 Pro? Why not ps7. Must be tiring to never be satisfied

My Dream Wants
-All games get a significant boost in speed, more games hitting 60-120fps without a resolution hit.
-PS3 native support
-Ray tracing similar to nVidia's RTX enabled modes. Games that don't support it get a bump anyway.
-Folders
-PSVR 2 enhancements for better resolution in all games.

Disaster For Me
-No internal disc drive
-$700+

One day lead in...

I'm not sure if that bodes well, you'd think they'd wanna get the word out for a bit if they treating this like a big deal

I hope it will be centered around the biggest unknown quantity:
PSSR.
How it works, how capable it is and how it will evolve going forward.

And end with him putting up his personal email adress asking us to send him pictures of our ears, delivered with a well meaning yet somehow vaguely threatening tone.

PS3 native support is... unlikely. Folders would be an OS level thing, and very unlikely to be a Pro-only feature. I'd be surprised if they mention PSVR2 enhancements at all - they've basically sent that hardware out to die at this point.

Also - if their intention is to eventually ween people off of needing a disc drive, it would make sense to have their "Pro" console this time around skip it. Making this an optional, enthusiast upgrade means they can get away with making it digital only and keeping the price high while saving money on internal components. This is all just speculation, and I'd love to be proven wrong tomorrow, but I get the feeling this will be a digital only device (with optional external drive accessory available).

man....I hope you are wrong as well. I'm not buying an all-digital console.

They will probably showcase a few quickly that can't perform certain features on the base model. I expect SoP to show some more.
It's actually a wise choice to somehow separate the hardware hype and talk and actual Pro gaming showcase. Plus this will unlock all of TGS partners to show Pro footage too.

Do you think we can order it directly after the presentation?

We got a price and pre-orders available the same day last time.

I expect we'll get a release date and be able to pre-order the PS5 Pro at some point tomorrow. By opening up pre-orders now, they have the ability to ramp up for the holidays if they need to. That's why they have to announce now rather than in October or November.
