I still cant figure out... Why on earth is she holding a flag?!??! I don't see anyone else there doing that, wtf
Nah, Lost is a classic despite its flaws. Easily the twin peaks of its day and spawned many lesser imitatorsLost was such a bad show. I'd even rather watch James fuck around in California.
I miss James. He was cool.Lost was such a bad show. I'd even rather watch James fuck around in California.
At 9pm, while Game of Thrones was eating TV alive, Twin Peaks lost the viewers it had picked up after Part 8. Part 9 was so dreadful that everyone who sampled the show based on good reviews for Part 8, left. Twin Peaks scored 264,000 viewers. More people live in my neighborhood.
The bump in ratings didn't last according to this.
For comparison, GoT had over 10 million viewers while "Power" on Starz had 1.7 million.
GoT ate everyone's lunch, and most of Twin Peaks viewership comes from DVR, streaming and reairs during the week.

I'm more interested in seeing Part 11's ratings what with the time slot change and potential signal boost from the SDCC panel+screening. Curious why they didn't bother changing it already for the GoT premiere.
Wait TP is changing times? To when?
On Sunday, September 3 from 8 to 10 PM, Showtime will air the two-part finale of the new Twin Peaks. The jump from 9 PM to the 8 PM slot happens earlier, on August 6, due to the season 5 premiere of Ray Donovan.

If Lost were cancelled after season 2 like TP, it would have a completely different afterlife as a LEGENDARY show.
Well I love Lynch and am loving Twin Peaks but it is not for everyone.
However I am not thinking I will remain subscribed to Showtime when it goes as the only other show I like on there is The Affair.
Is there any evidence to suggest this post-air viewership ratio is different from other shows? I'd imagine plenty of people also watch GoT and Power on DVR and streaming.
Those ratings just mean that I'll be able to stroll right into an empty Hall H after the GOT panel just in time for the TP panel.
Anyone know average time for TV seasons ending to blu-ray release? Imagine it might be different for this depending on what features they have planned.
So it'll be on an hour before GoT starting with Part 13? I'm fine with that. Get the slower paced show out of the way first each week. Watching GoT first last Sunday was very jarring. One hour earlier than before, so 8pm EST. Not sure how that goes for markets outside US though.
edit: Hmm TV Guide is showing regular airing time for next week, perhaps it's further down the road.
Jesus I must be having a Dougie moment, could've sworn reading about it switching times, can't find a thing about it.
edit2: It starts airing at 8pm EST on August 6:

The point of my post was that a vast majority of the views for TP episodes does not happen when it airs. I have no clue if the ratio is the same for GoT, though I'm skeptical because GoT is must-watch-as-it-airs TV due to rampant spoilers.
With that said, why does it matter? Was anyone expecting a 25yr old show with a cult classic following to go toe-to-toe with Game of Thrones? I love both, and even I chose GoT over TP at 9pm, for the aforementioned potential to be spoiled.
Jeezus, what's Kyle Maclachlan's exercise routine?!
Ratings are meaningless. The show's been booked for a run and it'll run through to episode 18 regardless of performance.
I scoffed, thinking you were a delusional, but you are totally right.
If Lost were cancelled after season 2 like TP, it would have a completely different afterlife as a LEGENDARY show. Now it's in that weird Limbo from the last season, stuck between people who still stump for it and people still salty at the ending (like me).

What? No convenient explanation or conclusion that fit in 140 characters? Outrage!
Be careful if you do, a couple of episodes has a music scene then cut to something else.Do the end music scenes mean anything?
I am 90% sure now that when these come on I am going to turn the show off.
