Twitter Thinks That Laura Ingraham Made a Nazi Salute During the RNC

If you know anything about Laura Ingraham you would know this was 100% planned and practiced just to stir shit up. She's done and said stupid shit like this over the years just to poke and prod "the left".
Exactly. She did it for attention, and made it just deniable enough so she can go on the offensive against anyone who goes after her. Total stunt. Unfortunately for her, the whole RNC is such a shitfest, she may not got get as much attention as she hoped.

Made this....

My take is she got cold feet and didn't go all the way through with it. Her expression quickly shifts from one of defiance to that palpable look of immediate regret.

A little bit too much confidence in that salute and a little too long holding it for me to give that much benefit of the doubt here.

This is the kind of low-hanging fruit nonsense that the people not yet convinced to vote against Trump think is the left being over-sensitive.

There's a lot more people who are "anti-politically correct" than there are people gung-ho for Trump. People crying about Trump giving the salute happened while his poll numbers were going up.. and it certainly didn't cause a ding in his popularity. It's incredibly easy to deny.

Stop focusing on this meaningless crap I say.

This is Laura Ingraham we're talking about here. I feel like a few posters in this thread are giving her the benefit of the doubt for no legitimate reason whatsoever. She's terrible.

Exactly. I think a lot of posters just aren't familiar with her. This is totally something she would do

That is like perfectly calibrated to be just emphatic enough to get the blood running in all the alt-right goons but just quick enough to give her enough deniability that the media won't report it as absolute fact

You kidding? She's counting on it, so she can attack the liberal media .

$$$$$ in bank. These people are pros at the outrage machine

You do realize this is a joke, right? Like. We don't literally think she's a Nazi.

Point taken. I'm no cheerleader for her, I'm just...if she actually was stupid enough to think she'd get away with it I'd be truly shocked. That being said, I suppose I just want to be open-minded that she probably just should have angled up that palm for a normal looking wave and it didn't work out that way. Now, does that mean that something subconscious overrode that wave? Like I said, I'm aiming to be open-minded here.

Regardless, not a good look. I get why people are calling this out, really I do.

Not everyone is joking; I can tell the difference. You don't speak for the thread let alone the entire internet.

People certainly weren't all joking when Trump was the one putting his hand out.

If you've ever heard her show, you'd know she is a professional troll. This was 100% intentional to drive clicks and hits from her audience against "PC America". She'll ride this bump for months.

Idk on this one . That to me seems like THE most intentional unintentional way to do a Nazi salute .

Time to call in the clean up hitter now that the RNC is over

Yep, as someone up thread said, she likely practiced that shit in the mirror. Further riles up her neonazi base, and she can cry about the PC police being mean to her.

No way in hell can you pass that off as an accident. The movement was too crisp and deliberate. Not a hint of awkwardness to indicate it was a flubbed wave. She even held the pose for a split second.

Honestly will be surprised if the national news outlets actually pick up on this. It'll probably be all over the comedian circuit, but I doubt it'll get much coverage, if any, on CNN/NBC/CBS/ABC etc.

Looks intentional to me.

Between this and the Fox News host who poured mustard into a water bottle, this convention has not disappointed.

Who waves by extending their arm in front of them and holding it there? Maybe if she was trying point at something I could see it, but no.

Don't excuse this.
I highly doubt she was seriously thinking yes i'm going to give donald a heil hitler style salute on stage that seems like a really good idea.

Though she probably realized how it looked midway through doing it, hence how jerky and awkward she suddenly switches to a wave. As I said; it's funny and ironic, but thinking it was deliberate seems dumb in a convention filled with far more deplorable and genuine shit.

That photo is amazing.

For all the wrong reasons sure, but its amazing.

What really punctuates it is that her facial expression is completely different while doing the salute. I mean let's be real, this doesn't look vaguely like a Nazi salute, this looks like a Nazi salute. It looks like she practiced this whole ensemble of gestures many times in front of the mirror. Who knows if she was just laying it all out there or it was just really poorly considered, but it's perhaps the weirdest goodbye gesture I've seen.

Hah no wa-

Holy shit. That's not something you do by accident.

I'm on my phone right now and I expected to sre people over react, but holy crap she really did it. I'm able to put the screen super close and really analyze it. What the heck is going on?

Precisely. Then she'll play the victim card when she gets the reaction she was looking for, lambasting liberals, sjws, and PC culture.

Yeah the clear difference in her face during the salute to the wave is what males it even worse. The determination during the salute portion to instantly changing to the friendly wave with a smile makes it all the more credible that she indeed was doing a nazi salute.

I mean... probably not intentional, but it's too easy.

I will say the facial expression change right afterwards is... eerie.

This is an incredible photograph! The culmination of the past 12 months. WOW

I still think the gesture wasn't intentional, although the it did look like a Nazi salute. You can tell by her reaction change that maybe it wasn't intentional, or she seemed like she snapped out of spell.

It's funny because it seems like Trump studied and mimics Mussolini.

Trump apparently actually did study Hilter's Mein Kampf and most likely his speeches too:
Last April, perhaps in a surge of Czech nationalism, Ivana Trump told her lawyer Michael Kennedy that from time to time her husband reads a book of Hitler’s collected speeches, My New Order, which he keeps in a cabinet by his bed. Kennedy now guards a copy of My New Order in a closet at his office, as if it were a grenade. Hitler’s speeches, from his earliest days up through the Phony War of 1939, reveal his extraordinary ability as a master propagandist.

“Did your cousin John give you the Hitler speeches?” I asked Trump.

Trump hesitated. “Who told you that?”

“I don’t remember,” I said.

“Actually, it was my friend Marty Davis from Paramount who gave me a copy of Mein Kampf, and he’s a Jew.” (“I did give him a book about Hitler,” Marty Davis said. “But it was My New Order, Hitler’s speeches, not Mein Kampf. I thought he would find it interesting. I am his friend, but I’m not Jewish.”)

Later, Trump returned to this subject. “If I had these speeches, and I am not saying that I do, I would never read them.”

My grandpa was a WWII vet I really wonder what he would say if he saw that. That serious look she has while doing it is nuts. The people saying she did it on purpose to provoke a reaction and cash in on it are absolutely right. This is what she does for a living she's as disgusting as Ann Coulter is.

Also her fingers were together with thumb fucked underneath. No one waves like that. Not Trump in that juxtaposed pic, not the Obama pic being quoted. It's not kind of naziesque, it's a nazi salute and there's no way it wasn't done on purpose.

She did it and thought she'd get away with it
