Regardless, Mike Works is pretty annoying. I'm glad he's not a mod anymore, because from the stories I've heard (never had a problem directly with him) he sounds like an ass, and we shouldn't have people like him modding a board that would like to stick around for years to come. Then again, these are only stories I've heard, so in all fairness, I don't know both sides of the coin.
What has mostly bothered me is how perfectly good posters turn into assholes as soon as they become moderators. Can't you guys just give the positions to people that are already assholes? It wouldn't be much of an improvement, but at least I wouldn't sigh in disappointment when I see someone I like shouting "OMG YOUR BANNED PWNED!" at the first person that vaguely alludes to downloading something over a torrent.

Lonestar was being a twat to Diablos (whose long ass ban.. something like 6 months- was close to ending) on *** Ages, and going on about how he was going to troll Diablos (on GAF) in order to get him re-banned. Diablos deserved to get banned before, but he'd obviously made an earnest attempt to improve/better himself as a poster during his time off. He's always been short to fly off the hook when a few familiar faces goad him into doing so, and I didn't think it was fair that he'd attempted and somewhat succeed in reforming himself only to have cancer boy mock him by bragging how he was going to get him banned ago. So I lifted Diablos' ban early (I think it was 3 weeks early or so) and banned Lonestar for that time (though it was later shortened). It wasn't "fair" by the textbook TOS rules at all, but when it came to the principle of the matter, I felt my justification was apt. Obviously Lonestar didn't :lol

On a side [serious] note: I come here for information on games too. I post long replies only because I feel I want to cover all bases when debating/discussing/arguing about an issue. I feel it's better to elaborate on an issue extensively rather than leaving a thought to the imagination, so that if someone had a comment about my opinion they'd at least know conclusively where I stand. I apologize if it's too long winded but, of course, there is an ignore function that you're entitled to use. I love everyone.

Ripclawe used to make my blood boil. Actually I kind of miss his frightening right-wing tenacity ... Did he leave, or change his name or something? I hate it when I come on GAF and theres nothing substantial to read - ie. no funny shit, shitty girl stories or any other random crap. I especially hate it when the Batman threads/random esoteric music thread/Tom and Katie threads are getting 5+ pages of replies. After coming home from a long days work or class I just wanna kick back and read some gaf, but sometimes its quite lacking in substance =(
