Nick looked great against BJ and has proved to be a machine, I don't think Conduit will pose much threat because he will be backpedaling the whole time:P

The Fat BJ fight is meaningless. If you want to think of reasons why the fight might be interesting remember that Diaz almost got KO'd by Daley and that Condit has KO'd his last three opponents, far better than Daley's lackluster record going into the Diaz fight.

Given his mental instability, tendency to come in overweight, and nationality, it is easy to forget what a great striker Semtex is. Nick "almost" getting KO'd by him actually is a testament to just how good Nick's chin is.

Well the first round of the BJ fight showed how easy it is to take Diaz down.

in what world are dan hardy and stungun kim great fighters? and lets not forget rory mcdonald was beating that ass for most of the fight before that bad stoppage in the 3rd.

Daley is pretty bad though. He should have been UD'd by Masvidal and somehow stole a decision in whatever Bad MMA promotion they fought under.

I think the fight is great; like I said before I have no idea who wins. Not really sure why people are writing off Condit though other than his being underrated in general because he doesn't really have a gimmick.

Where did I say they were great fighters? Stungun is better than anyone Nick's beaten in years though, and Nick should consider himself lucky he doesn't have to get UD'd by him. Unless you actually want to consider the Fat BJ fight important.

Cool thread. I like Conduit a lot, but I'm hoping it stays standing and Nick makes it a dogfight. Then I'll change my area code to 209 to pay tribute to Cesar Gracie Jiu-Jitsu.

I feel this thread should be renamed "Time to end this suffering..." as this should be the official departure from the beloved Gladiator, as we transition to the Fox era. Kleatus in MMA trunks?

*Looks at thread title and all through OP*

So, is Diaz fighting this guy:

Or this guy:

Or maybe he just had a bad day with one of these:

They want people to like Nick Diaz because Georges St-Pierre vs. Nick Diaz is the biggest of their 4 money matches in 2012. Better believe Uncle Dana is praying for the right result on Saturday.

Yeah I mentioned this in the OT. I think Primetime is going to sway public perception in a big way.

Probably. He still seems like every bit the moron he's always been to me though. Knowing he's a big immature douche bag who acts like 5 year old because he can't handle his feelings doesn't make me like him any more than I did before.

If Condit wins it wont be a decision anyways. He needs to take it in the first 3 or it'll probably go to Diaz. I can see this being the Hendo/Shogun of welterweight.

This. Just because he might have a diagnosable personality disorder doesn't make him likeable.

But he is still the most entertaining fighter and I would watch his awkward interviews any day of the week over Chael's rehearsed lines.

The way I see it, I am not the champion anymore on Saturday night. You have to put the belt on the line in order to call yourself champion, the best in the world. Right now, I am not the best in the world; I am injured.

The winner of this fight on Saturday will be more than just the new No.1 contender, but he won’t be the new champion either. The winner of this fight will have to beat me to become the true world champion and I will have to beat the winner of this fight in order to call myself the best in the world again. We have to beat each other to be the undisputed champion.

Surprise, surprise milquetoast answers from slippery Georges in an interview regarding the Diaz vs Conduit fight on Saturday. Full story here.

“I don’t truly hate him as a person,” St. Pierre said. “I don’t know that he is a bad guy, but I hate what he brings to the sport with the disrespect and the unprofessional things he says and does. It is sort of a professional hatred. He has been nothing but disrespectful and arrogant toward me. During UFC 137 [week] I felt like I had to walk around Las Vegas with my fists ready [to punch Diaz] because every time I came across him, he wanted to fight there and then. Every time the elevator opened [in the hotel], I needed to be ready to fight in case he stepped in. I was on edge all week. This guy is crazy.”

Georges scared and Nick is already in his head.

I should probably put more effort into my picks, but ah, fuck it. This is the umpteenth UFC event in a row, so I'm just going through the motions. Event spacing Dana, do you speak it?

So is this on friday or saturday? Swedish listings says saturday 04:00am CET (friday us time) and ufc.co.uk says saturday 03:00am GMT but Wiki and this thread says saturday.

I just got into UFC with the all the free fights they were giving away on Xbox Live. My question is twofold:

1) Does anyone know when I will be able to actually purchase this event on the UFC app?

2) Is there any type of "season" pass you can buy that covers multiple fights, or is it just $45 each fight?

I think you should be able to buy it and watch it live on that? I'm in the UK which meansI can't get the app so I'm not an expert in it sorry. There isn't any sort of season pass as far as I'm aware unfortunately.
