I'm glad that had a polite moment in the ring afterwards but I hope the build-up to this fight don't become the norm - Endless WWE style, over-the-top trash talk followed by 'see it's just for show, we're good guys'

He may be GOAT, but for someone who seemed to be trying to speak about how important the sport was at the end there, he sure attempted to employ dirty tactics. From bumping Sonnen, to shoulder checking, to greasing, to short grabbing and the questionable knee. The fact is that Anderson da Silva just shot himself in the foot.

I don't know how much the rest of you know about MMA culture (I'm an expert since Pride), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in wrestling where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw someone over in MMA, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.

What this means is the casual MMA public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase PPV's for either fighter, nor will they purchase any of UFC's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Silva has alienated an entire market with this move.

Anderson, publicly apologize and end your championship reign or you can kiss your business goodbye.
