To be fair though...NOBODY could have seen this coming unless they were a time traveler
The only people that see it coming where people that show up to watch main events at UFC events.

GSP and Jones are the only ones left who can touch what Fedor did, Silva just pissed away that chance. Hell, I dunno if I would put Silva over Igor Vovchachyn.
I don't think Anderson Silva has to wait for Weidman to build himself up. This fight has effectively done that. Weidman will be well-known as the dude who knocked Anderson Silva out cold (this wasn't even a TKO, it was a straight up KO).
The smartest thing for Anderson - financially, legacy-wise, etc - would be to go for an instant rematch. The hype and interest around the fight would be huge, and the two big superfights - vs GSP or Bones - have certainly lost some of their luster.
Another reason a rematch would be big is that a lot of people probably feel like Anderson didn't "really" lose since he was caught while showboating, so they'll tune in to potentially see him fight more seriously.

Nobody except cousin Heel and I who called this shit before Weidman had even fought Demian Maia and Mark Munoz.
I dont remember the last time Sherdog exploded after a fight like this.
What exactly did Fedor "do"? And don't even mention Pride otherwise we have to bring Ken Shamrock's WWF career into the discussion.

When Fedor lost to Werdum.
It was the same thing, too. A bunch of haters on one side saying they had been right all those years about Fedor being "totally overrated", and a bunch of fanboys on the other side mystified by the arrogance that Fedor showed by willingly hopping into Werdum's guard like that.
And the cycle continues....
You realize you can place sport bets with books outside of Nevada, right?
Can't tell if serious....Who did Anderson Silver ever really beat?
The Michael Jordan of BJJ Travis Lutter
Christopher Leben
Predator Cote
Sandman Irvin
Steve the American Psycho Bonnar
Thales Leites
K1 Damian Maia
170# Nate the Great
This certainly pales in comparison to a resume that features UFC Champions like Andrei Arlovski, Big Nog, Mark the Hammer Coleman, Tim The Maine-iac Sylvia, etc...
You realize it would still be a crime, because the fight you fixed took place in Nevada, right?
Silva and Fedor are two of the best MMA fighters that ever lived. If you disagree, go watch Downtown Abbey. /thread.
People think he threw the fight? His antics didn't work this time and he got caught. Deal with it.

it eventually happens to everyone
To be fair, Silva isn't an idiot. He can do this whole "no rematch" stuff to bully White and the Ferttita's into paying him 1Mil+ for the rematch.
The top 10 MW's must be going nuts right now, they can get title shots again now that Silva is out of the picture (for now)
Yushin Okami must be ecstatic
Daiju Takase
Ryo Chonan
Chris Weidman
That's the beauty of this arrangement. UFC have built Chris Weidman so poorly that no one knows who is he, or that he's about to mollywhop Canderson Silver on Saturday night for that matter. The whirl will truly be shocked by a fighter the UFC has never even bothered to put on pay-per-view.
Many of you are a little wet behind the ears when it comes to mixed martials, so let me paint a picture. Anderson Silva was 6-1 in MMA when he emerged from relative obscurity, much like Chris Weidman, to beat the perceived #1 welterweight in the world, the unbeatable Mach Sakurai. He also only had one fight in the UFC when he received a title shot and beat the #1 school teacher in the world.
History is destined to repeat itself. Chris Weidman, your next UFC Middlweight Champion of the World.
I bow to you, sir.
I think he wanted his first loss to be like this, not saying he threw it but basically it puts an asterisk on the loss if people say oh he would have destroyed him if he actually fought.

Anderson does crazy stuff and gets away with it, ANDERSON IS THE BEST
Anderson does crazy stuff and gets get knocked out, ANDERSON WANTED TO GET KNOCKED OUT
Welp the UFC just lost one of their biggest PPV draws, that's a damn shame.

I don't believe in a million yrs that Anderson threw the fight but I do believe he's happy to take the immense pressure off of his shoulders
