Hm, Pettis round 1 via better striking.

Alvarez had a lot of takedowns but barely did any damage and Pettis almost immediately gets up from being taken down.

Judges love takedowns, but I agree that it was ultimately ineffective.

That's his last fight at LW, he is a lot smarter with dodging and counter punching. I think he would have beat this Pettis easily, and Pettis would be in my top 3 fighters.

Kinda shit fight and I'm not sure who to blame. Eddie was a blanket for most of it but Pettis still looked off and weak too. Either way, none of them deserve any bonuses or even props for winning this fight.

He recognizes it's a problem. He hired the best MMA wrestling coach. His defense looked a lot better. There's only so much you can learn versus a guy who has been doing it for years.
